Rated 1 out of 5 by Lauren from Do not buy! This washer doesn't work more times then it does. I have had SO many problems! It's always getting error codes and it's often very difficult to get them to go away. I'm currently standing her with a pile of nasty soaked clothes ans no way to get them spun out because this washer wont even turn on, yet still somehow is chiming. I've never been so frustrated.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Monaco1407 from Drain pump filer a nightmare Washer is ok except every time we clean the drain pump filter so much water comes out that we have to move the washer and take out the lower drawer to clean under it. Our floors are ruined and need replaced. Our LG was easy to clean and never got water on our floors. This will be my last Whirlpool.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Andrew from Started smoking not long after purchasing I bought this model 2 years ago and within only 2 years a piece inside that is supposed to last 7-10 years had already worn down and caused a situation where the washer actually started smoking. The customer service people are now offering me the equivalent of a coupon for another washer. It's a little alarming that they're not concerned with their products smoking after only 2 years. We used to be a proper country where blue chip companies like Whirlpool made products and stood behind their quality. Now they can nearly burn down your home and just offer a discount on a new unit.

Costs about double compared to WFW5605MC, which would be OK if the machine lasted more than four years. Machine broke after only four years of fairly light use (family of three). Pretty much the entire machine started failing, including the main board (touch panel/control panel unresponsive) and the control panel failing, which then indicated an error code for the door (replaced), which then indicated the motor needed to be replaced. The machine worked well until it failed, and is much too expensive to replace or repair all key components (each failed component is $200-$300). Very disappointing and strongly warn all to avoid this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by GLG1 from Horrible machine I hate this washing machine. The first one had to be replaced as it would shake and move several inches during the cycle. Repair people came out twice to try and fix it. I have a LG at my other home and it is so much easier use. This whirlpool is awful. The buttons are hard to press. The load and go won’t turn off, the wash & dry button won’t turn on. Horrible horrible machine.
