That being said, I wasn't about to spend big bucks on a dryer when I only do laundry, like, once a week. What I was looking for was a machine with buttons/knobs rather than a digital control board. That's what I got & my clothes dry quickly. The only thing I miss is a quick wrinkle release. It has wrinkle protection for after the clothes are dry, but I don't always wash my dress slacks/shirts every time I wear them, I like to fluff then with a dryer sheet & heat & call it good. This machine does not have that option....no biggie....I just do a 10-minute timed dry

Rated 5 out of 5 by Thrillofthehunt from Nice basic dryer with some special frills I've been using this for a week and it is easy to operate. It has the basics, but I like the extra low temp setting option. So far I've used the time set drying and it's been fine. I've not had time to experience all the settings. The sensor dry I'm not sure about because my towels were still a tiny damp when they were supposedly done. Over all, I'm happy with it so far. Bottom line, if it lasts as long has my other dryer, I will be thrilled as it's all about reliability for me--everything else is secondary. That said, when the washer goes, I will probably get the washer that goes with this dryer.

The fact that directions are printed on the reverse side of the top door saves time during that period of time when you're still learning the product's features. The washer has good bearings, and I say that because it stands firmly on the floor; there's no shaking when it's working! I'm pleased with how the load smells "clean" when the wash is over, and, also, I like the fact that the depth of the washer is perfect so that it's deep, but not so much that you have to bend over to place the wash inside or when you pick it up after the the wash is done.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous from Terrible dryer My old dryer stopped working, and my repairman suggested getting an "old fashioned", I.e. Top loading washer and matching dryer. This dryer is terrible. My other one was a Maytag, and even though it only lasted 10 years, we should have bought another set just like it. It takes forever to dry a load of laundry. It seems to take at least two full cycles for any load. I am very unhappy, and will probably never buy another Whirlpool machine. Which is a shame, baceause until I bought the Maytag, all my washers and dryers were Whirlpool.M

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from Good Dryer I bought this dryer one month and ten days ago, so far it has been a good dryer. This is much better than running back and forth to the coin laundry, which I have done for more than three years. After using the same two drying settings, either I need to change to a different cycle, or possibly put less items in at the same time. The dryer drys everything effectively, with the exception of towels and jeans. After a 70 min. cycle, jeans and towels are still a little damp, nothing too major. All in all this is a good product and name.

I always try to buy Whirlpool products when possible. I've always been happy with the design, the workmanship and the ease of use. The three products I just replaced were Whirlpool. I had them for 17 years and only replaced them because they were noisy. Of course with new design and workmanship, that is no longer a problem
