Rated 1 out of 5 by wes1000 from Very unhappy with refrigerator French doors are not in alignment with each other. Right door is about 1/4 - 1/2 inch higher than the left door. Condensation on inside of doors. Most of the time we can not close left door (when looking at the refrigerator) without first straightening the flap between the two doors. Over weekend when opening the left door, the tray inside fell to the floor and spilled orange juice all over the floor. It made quite a mess and I hope it did not damage our new wood floors. This tray should not have fallen. Ice maker does not make sufficient ice. Service man was here last week and has ordered new door hinges. As you can se, we are very unhappy with the refrigerator.

Whirlpool has decided to ‘buy this back’, however I purchased it on a Labor Day sale (40%) when all appliances were on sale, and there is no way that I can get a new refrigerator at that type of discount until who knows when! So I even with this ‘buy back’ I am going to have to spend probably an additional $1000. I am SO upset. No more Whirlpool items,

Whirlpool stated I had to have it repaired instead of replaced. I contend that since it did not operate on day 1, it should have been replaced. I should not expect that a new refrigerator should be repaired right out off the assembly line. Your customer service is unacceptable. Should I go on. I read that Whirlpool had the best refrigerator, therefore I was glad that I was purchasing one. Now I sorely regret that decision. You have given me nothing to be happy about. Let's see, how many people can I tell not to buy Whirlpool?

Rated 1 out of 5 by GM Riggs from Disappointed Customer Experience - GAR We purchase a similar counter depth whirlpool French door fridge at the same time replaced other existing kitchen appliances ( dish washer, microwave and double ovens). The first product failure was the ice maker less than 6 months after purchase. It took over 3 weeks for back ordered parts to arrive and installed. The most recent failure is the seal system. Over three weeks since this failure was reported the problem is still not functioning. Guinco, manufacture authorized repair co, replaced compressor & evap system. Still not working. This is still covered under manufacturer warranty. Imagine no refrigeration or freezer in your home for 3 weeks working on 4. Calls to Whirlpool have been virtually useless. What does it take to get this resolved?

Rated 1 out of 5 by Magoo315 from Terrible Product and Service 15 month old Whirlpool refrigerator died and 2 1/2 months later it is still not fixed. Had authorized service provider out twice after finally receiving all the parts needed 2 months after the refrigerator died. Replaced user interface and oryan board the first time, and the compressor the second time - and the refrigerator still doesn't work. Whirlpool should be replacing this "lemon" but they suggest more parts be replaced which given how long the parts take to get, we are looking at 6 - 8 more weeks without a working refrigerator (assuming these parts get it working). Whirlpool refuses to do the right thing and give us a new, working refrigerator. Thank you Whirlpool!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Deb44 from More space than I expected We bought this a couple weeks ago after researching for days. It holds more than I thought it would. We went from a 25 cu ft fridge to this 20 cu ft, and because of the smart engineering, we were able to fit most of our food from the old fridge. The main section has adjustable shelves and adjustable door compartments that hold all of our food and it's all visible at a glance. The big pull out drawer holds yogurts stacked 3 high, and the large 6 packs of romaine that I buy in bulk. We decided not to increase our budget to buy the larger, 24 cu ft Whirlpool counter depth fridge, which has a larger freezer with a spot for frozen pizzas, and makes crushed ice, which would have been nice. The model we bought dispenses ice cubes and filtered water. The ice dispenser gets jammed occasionally, but it is simple to remove the ice tray and remove the cubes that are causing the problem. We LOVE the counter depth in our relatively small kitchen and the sleek, modern design. Also, in our white kitchen, the side panels of the Whirlpools are a lighter grey than some other brands, so that worked well for us, too. My only criticism is that the counter depth models are priced higher than the regular deeper depth models that have higher cu ft.
