Rated 1 out of 5 by alan63 from worse freezer ever I bought this freezer, than 4 days later it stopped freezing, and i lost $600 worth of food. But than to add insult to injury, i called Whirlpool being it was under the new warranty. I found out that they couldn’t careless. i asked if the food lose was covered under the warranty, i got a non caring no. Basically it was my problem, even though it was just 4 days old. Most freezers, food will last for about 48 hours, if it loses power or quits. I have since found out, it’s the Quality of the seals in the doors. This freezer lasted less then 12 hours. I own other Whirlpool appliances, but will never buy another one. I am including pictures to so this is a legit review.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Sharrik from Perfect size! We bought our freezer about a month ago. We had just moved from overseas and needed a space for our extras. It’s just my husband and me now, so the smaller upright freezer is perfect! Lots of door space. We did have to reverse the door from when it was received, but it was not difficult, just time consuming. I really like the space at the bottom, wish it was a drawer. We keep the vegetables there. Automatic defrost is essential also. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because it should have an extra shelf or two. Ordering any additional shelves comes at a cost of $80 per shelf, which is ridiculous. Other than that, we couldn’t be more happy.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Betsy from Missing Shelves. Needs occasional manual defrost. Bought this 1 and a half years ago from Lowes. It is an auto defrost model. Worked reasonably well, doesn't get below 3 degrees. Three shelves were missing and Lowe's didn't have an answer for that so bought them online which was pricey. I still need the shelf that goes on top of the bottom compartment--there is an available last rung. Last week it started not being able to freeze less than 20 degrees. I had to manually defrost it by turning off and wiping away ice and water. Working again but wondering how often I will have to do this. We monitor interior temperature regularly with freezer thermometer. Freezer was not kept too full nor too empty. So air circulation was good and not blocked.

Kind of wish there were stainless steel options (the darker more luxurious stainless color as given on the high end models) for the price I paid for this. Also would have like to have seen a temp indicator.... But that's just me wanting more bang for the buck... Lol. I buy a lot of fresh veggies from the farmers markets and cook off big batches and then freeze them. Space is perfect and the shelves are pretty decent with a decent cutting on them for added durability... As I despise straight metal racks/shelves because they rust to easily. All in all... I'm very pleased with this model, especially the deep freeze option.

Rated 1 out of 5 by RG447 from Do not purchase If I could give it a zero, I would. Within 42 days, the freezer stopped working. We lost all of the food in it ($400 worth or meat, bread and other goods). Whirlpool makes an appointment to have it serviced but it was a weak later and they won’t reimburse for the lost food. Absolutely ridiculous. Terrible customer service and now I am worried when the technician arrives, he will just replace a part but the issue is that the freezer smells rotten because of all of the lost food. It needs to be replaced. I will update my review if it’s replaced. Please read the alleged small print that says they won’t cover loss because their product fails.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kimhteach from Love - Love - Love This was an emergency purchase! Our freezer of 28 years died. We looked at a lot of freezers and this one stood out! It has solid door shelves so things don’t slid out of them. We love the LED light for seeing all our frozen stuff! The only drawback was it felt like it needed one more shelf! They were $72 so we bought $10 wire shelving and made our own. Can’t even tell. Love how it freezes and keeps our food frozen. This is an all around great freezer! Didn’t know we needed it, but now we wouldn’t want to live without it! Nice job Whirlpool!
