Great dishwasher, low price. My wife has been planning to replace our old dishwasher after it finally broke down. But our budget made purchasing a new one a struggle. That is until we found our Whirlpool Dishwasher at our local Lowes. The price was within our budget. We were skeptical of how well the unit would do since it was at the low end of Whirlpool's dishwashers. Though it may have lacked some of the bells and whistles of other Whirlpool units we weren't disappointed. Our Whirlpool dishwasher runs flawlessly and is extremely quiet. We are very pleased with our purchase and would recommend this dishwasher to those who want a great unit at a very reasonable price.

very good unit for the cost. This dishwasher was quite easy to instal. The only problem was that it did not come with the adapter to hook up the copper water line to the water inlet. I bought the dishwasher at Lowes. The Home Depot also sells this and was much closer. They new exactly what piece i needed but didn't have any on the shelf. Fortunately, they had just received a shipment and found one. Other than that, i have not had any problems with this unit. There is no water jet at the top of the unit but the dishes come out clean so it's not an issue. One more thing, the silverware holder is on the door. This makes it a little awkward to use but i can live with it.

Gentle, longer cycle but nonetheless thorough clean. We purchased this dishwasher to replace a previous Whirlpool model. My biggest complain about the previous washer was the force of the water jets flipped lighter plastic items in the top rack every time. This new Whirlpool is gentler and does not have this problem. It's also much quieter. The tradeoff is that the normal cycle can run quite long -- about 3 hours -- though there is a 1-hour option available (with its own tradeoffs).I'd certainly recommend this washer to anyone. If I were to complain about anything, it'd be that the dishes never come out quite dry even with the heat dry option selected.Gentle, longer cycle but nonetheless thorough clean.

Great Value with many amenitiesI absolutely love my new Whirlpool dishwasher. It is so quiet, that I sometimes forget that it's in full operation during the evening movie or the Saturday football game. The removable silverware basket is so handy and efficient when unloading. It also adds to the overall size of the machine since the basket it is located inside the door. What a nifty design ! I also purchased the barrel design which gives you the ability to wash large objects with ease. Sometimes on either rack!!! The stainless steel model was not important to me since my other appliances were already white. I saved a fortune!!! What a great machine I hope it lasts for years to come.

Best everI have owned or used over a dozen dishwashers in my time. When I needed to replace my current one as part of a kitchen upgrade, I did a lot of research and comparison for performance in this price range. I (we) have been very pleased with this dishwasher and how it cleans. The steam clean cycle makes the dishes come out like new. Plus it keeps the interior of the dishwasher look like it is just out of the box. That and the nylon racks have me extremely satisfied. The only reason I would take a star off performance is for the cycle time. But, we have adapted by running it when we leave or go to bed. So, the star stays! GREAT product!

Great dishwasherThis is a really good dishwasher. It does a great job at cleaning the dishes. I was a little skeptical because of the price. The price in no way reflects the quality. It is pretty quiet but probably could be a little quieter. I gave the design an average rating because I don't like the design and placement of the flatware basket. It is hard getting things in and out on the door. I took the basket off the door and just set it in the lower rack. It works a lot better there but I still don't like the design of the basket. I would definately recommend this dishwasher. It is a very good buy and does a great job. No complaints other than the flatware basket.

Clean and quietVery pleased with the overall performance of this dishwasher. It's energy efficiency is a huge plus. I love the overnight mode that allows it to run incrementally during the night; it saves water but still gets the dishes perfectly clean by morning. I have found a few things that it struggles to remove (peanut butter and dried oatmeal come to mind), especially when those items are placed on the top rack. But most everything else comes away clean with only scraping, no rinsing required. Probably my favorite feature of all is the sound! It is so quiet that I don't hesitate to run it when company comes over, and most of them don't even notice that it's on!

Not quite as good as my old one :-(This dishwasher does the job. I'm not displeased. However, there are a few functions that my 10-year-old model did better. Most troublesome, the dry cycle doesn't dry the dishes. If we don't get the door open right away so that the steam can escape, the dishes sit in the very wet/humid atmosphere until water droplets form on the dishes and silverware. After several hours--or days, depending on if we're around to unload--everything gets water spotted. It's an "energy saving" model, which I thought was supposed to be a good thing. But I think I figured out how the dishwasher is saving energy and I'm not altogether happy about it. Otherwise, it does the job.

Quietly Does Its Job - Very Pleased!I am not one of these people that has to have the Star Trek version of appliances. I want things to work, efficiently, hopefully quietly and at a fair price. This dishwasher meets all of my criteria and then some. It is super easy to load, runs very quietly and cleans beautifully.I had an older dishwasher so some of the sensor clicks and buzzes were foreign to me but now that I know what's going on, I appreciate that it is "checking" for the most efficient water levels, etc.My old dishwasher died a few days before Christmas and I had a houseful of family coming- the new washer has worked perfectly since the day it was installed - we are very, very pleased!

Not happy with this model.I love whirlpool products and have always been happy until I bought this unit. The silverware basket located on the inside of the door is not convenient at all and I end up leaving it out until ready to run or inside the bottome basket. My silverware does not fit in the predesigned holes. My handles are to big and so I have to leave the lids open. The soap dispenset actually blocks a portion of the silverware holder on the left side. My dishes come out pretty wet even using the heat dry option. The glasses sit very flat on the top rack and it does not allow the water to run off the bottom and they are always left with puddles. I would not buy this unit again.
