Looks nice but certainly proves "You get what you pay for."I was assured this oven set would be just as good as the one I had had for a number of years. Well, first off, it lacks a timer for a second oven operating at the same time as the first. I bake a lot, so this almost led me to return the unit. Secondly, I quickly learned you cannot put a dish of any kind into the oven while it is pre-heating as the upper coils will scorch it right off. Thirdly, the pre-heating takes forever. Fourthly, the sound level of heating and the cooling fan are certainly loud. I am sorry to be negative, but I will live with this unit for many years, and called the salesman to let him know he should know what he is selling!

Noisy cooling fanThis double oven was installed in the house when we bought it so we had no say in who provided the oven. The first time we used the oven we were greeted with a loud whistling wind sound which persisted the entire time the oven was in use. This noise continued for approximately 10 minutes after use until the oven cools off. This noise greets us every time we use the oven. Neighbors in our subdivision who have the same model oven with the same noise have complained to Whirlpool and have been told that it just the way the oven performs. It is not pleaseant and is very distracting when entertaining guests.

NOISY - BUYER BEWAREThis oven is extremely noisy. It has a very high loud, high pitched vent noise that automatically turns on the moment the oven is turned on. It runs the entire time the oven is functioning and takes about 40-45 minutes after cooking to turn off. It is one of the most annoying sounds I've heard and there is absolutely nothing that can be done. I put in a service call on this and the technician called before coming out to my home and basically asked about the noise. Once I explained it to him, he said that there is no way to fix this...it is as designed by Whirlpool. BUYER BEWARE...

Nice SetIt's a nice set with some basic features. There is a speed preheat function that works well if you are using a single rack. If you don't use the fast preheat it takes about twice as long, but not that much longer than normal. The top rack runs a lot hotter than the old GE we had, and works great for getting things browned. The controls took a little getting used, but once learned they work fine. As soon as you press start a fan kicks on, and stays on well after you've quit using the ovens... perhaps it's to keep the controls/cabinet cool. I would have liked to have a convection oven, but it wasn't a necessity. I'm pretty happy with this set.

Fan Noise!? This is the best you can do????Similar complaint I am seeing everywhere. I received this double oven as part of an appliance package from our builder. We have an open floor plan and never want to use the oven because of the loud whirring fan noise that runs during and long after you turn the oven off. As an engineer myself, I cannot believe the chief engineer (assuming there was one) for this product let this out the door as is. For this reason alone I would not recommend anyone buy this oven. There has to be a better solution elsewhere. Additionally it has a really slow preheat time. Come on! Why are we going backwards with our technology?

Disappointed!I am extremely disappointed with my new double wall oven. It is very noisy from the time it starts preheating, which takes a long time, until it cools down, which also takes a long time. Based on the description at the site where I purchased it, I thought I was buying an oven that had the option of turning convection off or on, but that wasn't the case. I tried to heat pizza up and part of the crust burned. I tried to bake cookies, but the bottoms burned before they were baked through, even though they were on the middle rack of the oven.

Good, but . . .Mixed feelings on the double oven: They look nice, and I enjoy having the larger glass to look through while something is cooking. Also having the warm/hold is a good feature. What my husband and I do not like is the annoying noise the fan makes after using the double oven. It sounds similar to a whistling noise that wind would make coming through the cracks in a log cabin. Our guests remarked on this also. A Whirlpool repairman came and replaced the blower, but that did not help. It is just a noisy oven, and I wish I had known that before we bought it. Our older Whirlpool did not make this sound.

Love my double ovens! We recently remodeled our kitchen and double ovens have been on my wish list for years. Our fridge and microwave are Whirlpools so I wanted the ovens to match. I really like the design and look of the ovens. The handles, trim and function keys/display look high end. The ovens heat quickly and cook well. They take a while to kick off after you're done cooking, but if you crack the door open it shuts off in a few minutes so its really not a big deal. I really love them and am very happy with them! They were less expensive than a lot of other brands we looked at and great quality for the money.

Nice & stylish! We bought this double oven 2 months ago and we are very happy with it. We purchase 5 Maytag appliances all in Stainless steel (Refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, stovetop & double oven) and it really made our kitchen look beautiful. All the appliances are very well made and I would highly recommend them. No problems what so ever with these appliances, I was nervous after reading online reviews of other brand appliances and the problems people had with them in the first few weeks, none of tjhose were Whirlpool which is why we purchased Whirlpool and the fact they are made in the USA!!

This oven is so loud it's unbearableOkay, the oven is great in every regard except for the fact that it is obnoxiously loud! Our double oven is right next to the dining area, so it completely ruins the meal, especially since they designed it such that the friggin' fan runs for HOURS after turning the oven off. We've had double ovens before, and this is not necessary, though it's increasingly common on new models. It sounds like a microwave, but microwaves don't normally run for hours, nor do they need to cool down for hours.I'm going to try to figure out how to disable the fan. Friggin' miserable. I would love to hear Whirlpool's feedback on this issue and what they plan to do to address it.If the fan weren't so loud, I would've given this review five stars.
