This ENERGY STAR® Certified 5.2–5.3 cu. ft. Whirlpool® Top Load Washer gives you two ways to wash thanks to the 2 in 1 Removable Agitator. Wash the way you want by simply removing the agitator to fit bulky items, or keeping it in to help break down loose soils. Use the Deep Water Wash Option to add more water* when you need it and easily check on your laundry while it's washing with the EasyView™ Full-Width Slow-Close Glass Lid. The Smooth Spiral Stainless Steel Wash Basket helps prevent fabrics from snagging, so clothes come out looking their best. *Bulky Items Cycle only available with deepest water level.

2 in 1 Removable Agitator

The 2 in 1 Removable Agitator lets you choose how you wash and care for your clothes by easily swapping the agitator post in or out. With two ways to wash, it’s twice the washer you have at home.

Thanks to the 2 in 1 Removable Agitator, you can easily reinsert the agitator whenever you want to switch back from the impeller. Multiple wash motions gently move clothes up, down and side to side throughout the cycle for a thorough clean in different water levels.

Smooth Impeller Option

Easily remove the 2 in 1 Removable Agitator when your load needs a little more space to move. Impeller wash action cleans by rubbing the fabrics against each other, while the design of the impeller’s surface helps drive clothes from the outer rim to the center, where the deepest cleaning happens.

Clean Washer with affresh® Cycle

Run the Clean Washer with affresh® Cycle every 30 washes with an affresh® washing machine cleaner tablet or liquid chlorine bleach to thoroughly clean the inside of your washer.

It has the cycles we need without a lot of bells and whistles. It has a clear top, so you can look in and see what it is doing. (Olden days you could open the lid and check what was happening. But, locking lids put an end to that.)

Also, we have found that the less electronic options, the better when something breaks. This washer is not basic but it also doesn’t have all the different tech options. We are pleased with the purchase!

Rated 4 out of 5 by WashnDry from Large Capacity, But Malfunctioned 5 Times So Far LOVE the large capacity, but it has malfunctioned at least 5 times in one month. At first I thought it was overloading, but the last three times has not been a heavy load. It will lock out and flash buttons and then I need to re-run the rinse/drain cycle.

The new washer is a little more difficult to maneuver directions but it is much more efficient than our last one with options that are convenient.
