Rated 5 out of 5 by Faerietygers from Does exactly what it’s supposed to I bought this dryer and have had it for a couple o weeks. We replaced a much more fancy Kenmore dryer that died. The features on this dryer are very basic, but that’s all we need. It’s the same capacity as our last one, so you can fit a lot in it. Took us some adjustments to realize that the drying time is much longer than our old dryer. A large load takes about 70 minutes to dry. A smaller load is around 50-60 minutes. That’s fine. The buzzer is loud; we can hear it upstairs with the door closed. The dryer is great for the price and if you want a basic dryer and don’t care about the bells and whistles.

However, even more so, I must be 150% worry free (ie. electrical fire, efficiency, capacity, etc.)!! Why? My CNA’s all use home appliances differently which causes more issues and wear & tear... I may not have the ability to take any photographs, however, I am 200% satisfied because I know I am not pulling on my electricity my new model has a larger capacity for similar to the same price range and would last very long time... My last Whirlpool top load dryer is practically 10 years old.. I’ve been paralyzed for 14 years... increase in electricity usage etc.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Marj Terry from Disgusted: Takes 2-3 hours every load After asking our daughter to research recommended models and seeing good ratings for this dryer, we purchased this model in November of 2019. My previous old dryer would dry a load of clothes in generally an hour. This new dryer takes 2-3 hours for a normal load of clothes (running our hydro use higher)! We've tried varying the settings for both heat and timed dry versus automatic dry. We also had a repairman out to our rural home and as per his suggestions replaced the dryer vent hose to the outside to meet specifications. It had no impact. I get angry every time I have to use this machine and regret the waste of money.

I've been trying to call to request someone to come out and look at it, but no one has answered the phone. Now today I try clicking on the service link, but it says, "Access Denied, you do not have sufficient privileges to perform this action". In the meantime, I'm constantly receiving mail from you wanting me to extend my warranty. Why? You've already shown that you can't even uphold the warranty I currently have. I regret the day that I chose the washer and dryer package when I purchased my home, I would have done better purchasing a brand that stands by its name.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jane from Just what I wanted! After viewing it online, I bought this dryer 5 weeks ago without actually "seeing & touching" a floor model in a store. This was a leap of faith that has turned out perfectly: it is exactly what I wanted, which is a new Whirlpool dryer with basic features, a larger interior capacity, a top accessible lint filter (recommended by the repairman who declared my previous dryer "dead & gone,"), adjustable notification buzzer, and an anti-wrinkle system. This is the perfect combo of features for our family. I'm very pleased with the quiet operation, the fair price, and the availability. I always look to Whirlpool for dependability.

Rated 3 out of 5 by debbi from Meh Definately a downgrade from my previous model. Really miss the totally flat top with controls on the front just above the door. That mean I really dislike the controls on an extra panel at the back of the top. This uses up too much valuable surface area for drying delicate items on top of the dryer while it's running with a load inside. Drum is sooo large that items fall to the bottom before they have a chance to rotate all the way around - creates more wrinkles. It is also larger than previous dryer and nearly didn't fit in space that I have - now the washer has to sit at an angle to prevent it from hitting doorframe. These might seem picky - but you asked.
