Rated 3 out of 5 by Meicha from Works well but miss the old model Took delivery of this model a week ago and am still getting familiar with it. So far, it's a toss-up in comparison to the model we had to replace, which was over 25 yrs. old and predecessor to this new model. Same color, size, and similar design. Pros: (1) Size is good and (2) it's easy to use. Cons: (1) Shelf adjustments are fixed, where there isn't as much flexibility in moving shelves around as with our old refrigerator; (2) No "deli" drawer like the one with the older model; (3) Noise level is more noticeable than with the older model. Still, I prefer a refrigerator like this over the newer, fancier models with features that I don't want or need.

The one with the ice maker has a snack drawer above the crisper drawers. The refrigerator we bought without the ice maker does not have a snack drawer, leaving a 14 inch space between the third shelf and the crisper. There isn't even a simple glass shelf. We had to make three trips back to the appliance store to find out if the snack drawer that is in the refrigerator with an ice maker would fit in the model we bought. We had to order the snack drawer and pay an additional $132.00. The snack drawer should be included with the model we purchased. We are very disappointed that such a simple, basic feature was not in it. .

But everything else is frozen… However, it may have defrosted and froze again. You want to chance raw meat with that? Now butter is softer than it should be in the refrigerator section. What’s going on? I read online, the freezer might need to be defrosted. Wow! Way to go Whirlpool—it’s supposed to be a frost free refrigerator. It requires the refrigerator to be powered off—The User Manual refers to a control panel, but darned if I can find one. How do you do that without a door control? Unplug it? That’s ridiculous! Any assistance would be appreciated.

Rated 1 out of 5 by CedarKathy from Defective. Repairman can't get needed part to repa Arrived defective. Refrigerator temp control is on lowest setting. Temperature escalates from 32 - 45 degrees F. Freezer is on highest temp. stays at -20 degrees. Too cold for ice cream. Took a month to arrange for a repairman to look at it. Said the part he needs is out of stock and will let us know when he gets it in. That was a month ago. Haven't heard back. Repairman didn't leave any contact info. Time to call Whirlpool agents again. Another 45 minute hold to get through. What a hassle. Whirlpool doesn't care about the people who purchase their product. Which pays their bills and puts money into their pockets.

However, it took forever to get delivered and the first BRAND NEW fridge they brought me was broken. It took 3 months of the freezer being unusable, and the whole thing running 24 hours a day (with the resultant expanded electricity bills) before I got a new one. THIS ONE is great, exactly what I wanted. The techs delivery guys were great. I'm just really disappointed in how long it took for a company with a long standing reputation to get me just what I paid for. They offered no upgrade, no compensation for the expanded cost on my part, or really anything that made me feel extra valued.

Rated 4 out of 5 by nutty squirrel from Lots of room I like this refrigerator. we didn't get an ice maker or water dispenser because we didn't use them with our last fridge and I'm happy to have the extra space in the freezer. The only thing I don't like is that the door to the refrigerator swings all the way open unless you hold it. That may be because of all the condiments etc. in the door trays but I wish there was a way to stop it from banging all the way open every time you open the door and look inside. As far as I can tell, there is no way to stop this other than holding the door the whole time you are looking for something inside the refrigerator.
