Rated 3 out of 5 by Jodie from A good average fridge We have had this fridge for 3 months now. I feel like it is an average fridge. I like how the are drawers in the door feel well built and I'm not afraid of the items coming out or the drawers breaking. Several things I don't like are how loud the ice maker is when filling water and dumping the ice, the veggies drawers are small and have a bar that goes across the top that makes the area smaller and less space for veggies because they can get caught on it, the ice maker is enormous and takes up 1/3 of the fridge space which has been annoying. The fridge is fine, it seems to function fine, it is easy to clean. It is just not my ideal fridge.

Rated 3 out of 5 by fridge#2 from Not as much interior space than our old fridge. Compared to our previous Maytag refrigerator, this one is sufficient. However, there are two issues that we have noticed. The first issue is the loud noise it makes when the water fills the ice maker. I never notice this noise in our old fridge. The second issue is the loss of space in the shelving. I have adjusted the shelves to get the most area of space for taller items and am just disappointed that I have lost space for varying heights of containers like I had in the previous fridge. Other than these issues the fridge is doing the job. I will have to manage big family gatherings with coolers as the refrigerator space is limited. I wish I had compared the surface space before buying.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Sad Sam from Not enough ice We have had this refrigerator let than a month. We like the layout of both compartments. First disappointment is the volume of ice it holds, maybe 3 large mugs. It will not keep up with our family of 3. Second, when the ice is harvested it sounds like a gun shot from the kitchen and when the ice tray fills it sounds like a garbage disposal running or a lawn mower started in the garage. The ice maker is a major problem with this unit. Third, the other issue we have that it does not keep temperature at suggest setting (freezer "0", frige compartment at 38 degrees). We are told it is with in Whirlpool's range (4 or 5 degrees of suggested range) to me it should reach and maintain "suggested" temps.

It’s a bit different than a side by side, however the French door features and the bottom freezer is nice. The through the door water and ice were a must for us, as our previous refrigerator had this, it also was a Whirlpool and it worked flawlessly for 20 years and still runs great. I’ve always bought Whirlpool, every thing we have is whirlpool. Years ago I was a whirlpool dealer, I always had a great relationship with your company. It was always a great product

Rated 2 out of 5 by Hot frig from Bad - high temperatures We bought the refrigerator a month ago and it runs 10 degrees hotter than the temperature is set at, both freezer and refrigerator. The appliance repair service they scheduled did not have the expertise to fix the problem and no one contacted us to tell us (no show on scheduled date). Had to call Whirlpool again to start the process over to find a repair service. We were told that it could take up to another 8 business days to find a qualified service repair company (no guaranty) and then schedule the repair date.

Rated 5 out of 5 by spubear2 from Good purchase What I like about our new refrigerator, besides the way it looks, is that it was easy to program the temperature control for both the refrigerator and the freezer. The instructions were not complicated. The quick start-up guide was easy to read and follow. The delivery men who did the installation got everything going quickly. I read the guide and confirmed the temperatures in the refrigerator. I ran the water through the water dispenser to clear it for use. I threw away the first 3 batches of ice from the ice maker. The refrigerator and freezer were cold enough to transfer our food into it within just a few hours. The refrigerator does a better job than our previous one, and we find that foods are staying fresher longer in our new unit. So far, everything is going well.
