All Whirlpool® Dishwashers feature the Normal and Heavy Cycles for you to choose between depending the soil level of your dishes. Select Whirlpool® Dishwashers feature additional cycles including but not limited to 1-Hour Wash Cycle, Sensor Cycle, Soak & Clean Cycle, Quick Wash Cycle, Extended Soak Cycle and Boost Cycle.
Options
Whirlpool® Dishwashers come with a variety of options you can add to any wash cycle. The High Temperature Wash Option can help remove grease and grime. Get clean, dry dishes with the Heated Dry Option. Use the Extended Dry Option to elevate drying performance. The Sani Rinse Option sanitizes dishes by eliminating 99.999% of food soil bacteria.
Type
Standard dishwashers sit at about 24 inches in width and are often the most popular. Small space dishwashers are narrower in width at about 18 inches, which helps free up space in your kitchen. Portable dishwashers are similar in width to standard dishwashers at about 24 inches and are equipped with wheels for easy transport.
Adjustable 2nd Rack
Make room for tall items like water bottles and soup pots with easy-to-find adjusters that smoothly raise or lower the Adjustable 2nd Rack.
3rd Rack
The 3rd Rack makes it easy to load silverware, hard-to-fit utensils like tongs or even measuring cups and spoons.
Handle

Tub Type
Many Whirlpool® Starter Dishwashers come equipped with a plastic tub interior. A hybrid tub consists of a plastic interior and stainless steel door for a sleek finish inside. Premium Whirlpool® Dishwashers have stainless steel tubs that insulate sound, help retain heat and prevent staining over time.
Flush Installation Capable
Flush installation will get you an integrated look with a dishwasher that installs flush with your kitchen cabinetry. Standard installation dishwashers stick out beyond your kitchen cabinets.
Cup Shelves
Cup Shelves fit additional cups or small bowls to free up extra space in the racks below and conveniently fold down to stay out of the way when not in use.
ADA Compliant
This appliance meets the Standards for Accessible Design specified by the Americans with Disabilities Act to provide equal access to all. Dishwasher requirements include height of controls and handles and less movement and force of knobs for easy accessibility.

Number of Place Settings
Many dishwashers have the capacity to fit a range of 8 to 15 place settings. A standard place setting consists of a dinner plate, a salad plate, a saucer, a bowl, a cup, a glass, a knife, a dinner fork, a salad fork, a small spoon and a large spoon.
Folding Tines
Many dishwashers have Folding Tines on both the upper and lower racks. Fold the tines down to create space for large dishes or hold down smaller items like lids and measuring cups.
