Rated 1 out of 5 by Disappointed NM Homeowner from Extremely POOR oven cleaning feature I built a new house and a different Whirlpool stove was installed, however, the convection bake control did not work. I told the contractor I would be OK with just replacing the control panel. Whirlpool chose not to do that and replaced it with this stove. I didn't realize that it was not a self cleaning oven. The AquaLift system doesn't touch the splatters or spills that happen in everyday oven use. I thought the day of a woman having to scour her oven clean went out years ago, but Whirlpool brought it back with this model!!!Extremely disappointed! Would have done without convection bake if I had known this is what they were going to replace it with.

My oven was not heavily soiled and I have used the cleaning cycle three times in a row. It does absolutely nothing to remove grease from the inside of the oven door. I had to use a non scratch scrubbing sponge to try to remove excess grease from the sides of the oven. I would not consider this range to have a self-cleaning feature. It's unfortunate because I like the other features of this range.Next range I purchase will have the high heat cleaning feature - I have better things to do with my time rather than scrub out an oven. Hope that Whirlpool will address this issue.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Open wheel 27 from aqua system and control placement poor planning We moved into a new home 16 months ago, and with that purchased all new appliances. Whirlpool thru out. We had KitchenAid units in our other home updated only 4 years ago, loved them. Builder used yours so we upgraded from their offering and got our own from Lowes. Cooking surface is very hard to clean, the oven cleaning system is absolutely a miss. I wanted to pull it out after 2 months, but my wife and i couldn't spend the money at the time. Lift feature on the grates is just okay.. I remove them each time I clean to get the surface behind the hinge. The sales person suggested we might not be totally happy with this unit......should have listened.

Rated 2 out of 5 by DRJT from Beware! Bought this stove three years ago. I love the look and functions but it has two serious flaws. First, the knobs can easily be turned without pushing in. Twice so far someone has brushed against a knob and turned it just enough that gas begins leaking and we were only alerted to the issue when someone came into the home and smelled the gas. The knobs should not engage any gas flow until AFTER the knob has been PUSHED IN and then turned. With the knobs being on top of the unit, this flaw will continue to be an issue. Second is the 'self cleaning' function. A joke. A bad joke. It does nothing and you cannot use any type of oven cleaner or you will ruin the finish.

That being said, I didn't have a paper copy of my owners manual (I do now). Cakes suddenly began taking much longer than expected to bake after I found the Rapid Preheat button and started using it. That and the misunderstanding about what single rack and multi-rack cooking meant. One service call later (thank heavens it's still under warranty), I managed to turn off Rapid Preheat. I also have a husband who thinks if pushing one button doesn't do the trick, then start pressing others. This is what God made wine for.

At first I thought it was user effort, but after reading the manual, calibrating it and purchasing an oven thermometer - it’s clear this is a piece of junk. Sometimes it preheats correctly, but the temperature doesn’t hold. Other times it doesn’t preheat to the desired temp at all. Whirlpool customer service has been a disaster. This product has been in my home less than 30 days and they refuse to replace it, instead are sending out a technician to “repair” it. When you receive a brand new product t that doesn’t function, repairing it is not the answer. I am extremely disappointed.

The oven went out mid of Aug the repair man came out with in a week but the parts have been on back order for 2 months. I can't seem to get and call back to when the parts will be in or if they are available. The worst customer services...

Rated 5 out of 5 by Michael36579 from Great upgrade Have had this about a month. Love it. Seriously going from a 32 year old Kenmore electric to this slide is game changer. A key focal point to the start of our kitchen upgrade. Having the gas knobs on top makes it safer around the kiddos and cool to the touch. I’d say the only downfall is it sounds like the fan is on for a long time during cool down after baking...but it’s baking everything to perfection so it’s okay by us.

Rated 1 out of 5 by AnabelMD from Oven stopped working after one use I was looking forward to cooking and baking with my new appliance, but unfortunately the oven stopped working barely two or three days after it was installed, after one single use, and I have been unable to use it for almost two weeks now. A service technician came last week and was unable to repair the item on the spot; a replacement part was needed. The technician is supposed to come tomorrow. Very disappointed.

The oven is huge and you could bake a whole meal at the same time, or trays of cookies or four pans of cake dough. The oven can be used with the convection setting or just the bake setting. The cook top and the grills are the problem. The grills are to long to open up completely underneath the microwave . If they could fold in half that would correct that problem. The biggest issue is that the burners project heat outside the perimeter of the pan . The surface heat projects upward and is very hot and very uncomfortable to be near while stirring food. This could be dangerous for an elderly person to use this stove.
