Rated 3 out of 5 by maw3 from It's ok I bought this microwave to match my other whirlpool appliances in the kitchen. After researching this online, and the reviews we decided to make this purchase. This was a special order because H Depot did not stock the finger proof stainless. After mounting the microwave and trying it out, it is quite loud, and the lighting under the microwave is very poor. There is plenty of room under the microwave for two lights on each side ,left and right and could of been closer to the front to brighten up the range area. My older GE model had better lighting and was much quitter . As for the operation of the microwave I would say it is average so far.

Rated 4 out of 5 by RE Wills from Over the Range Micowave We bought our microwave on 4/28/20. This microwave replaced a Maytag we had for at least 15 to 20 years & it still looked brand new. It’s a great appliance & works great but once it was installed we noticed the side panel did not seam closed from top to bottom on the right side. The installer came back and adjusted it after he spoke to your company & made the adjustments that were recommended but as you can see from the 3 photos attached AFTER the adjustment it still does not fit properly. We are not satisfied with the way it looks. We believe the installer did what he was told to do but could not make it close evenly from top to bottom.

Rated 1 out of 5 by michealP from Hasnt worked properly since shortly after install microwave stops heating after 4 minutes of usage and takes about another 5 - 10 mins to start heating again. Repair shop had my unit for a month "repairing" it only to bring it back doing the same thing. So i called whirlpool again only to be told that the unit can not vent out the top and can only be vented out the front for proper cooling of this model. So basically a unit that is designed to be able to vent externally is now being said to only be ventable out the front or it will over heat and shut down. So basically this product does not function as intended and whirlpool doesnt care. So now I have to buy yet another microwave in less than 10 months.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Chefrandy from Basic no bells or whistles Basic features of a microwave, this microwave does not have all the convenient fast set buttons as did my old one. I enjoyed the convenient push of each button giving me instant time and instant on,(1=one minute, 2= two minutes etc.) This has a 30 second button, which goes on when you touch it, but not always, it will display "door" so you have to open and close door several times before it works. The work light is okay, but not great, 2 lights or a central position would have been better. This does not have an option to stop the turntable, so heating some items can be a bit annoying. To do the basic heating or reheating, it does as needed

Rated 1 out of 5 by Mike5545 from Cheap plastic crumbled from the door Bought this microwave and installed it immediately. Worked great and was quite happy with it until about three months in. The outer plastic around the window began to crack and crumble off the door. This occurred on three of the four sides. Called Whirlpool and they stated it was “cosmetic” and that only had a 30 day warranty. Offered to send a tech out at a cost of over $100, and they would probably only say it was cosmetic and charge me for a new door. Whirlpool obviously does not stand by their product and this plastic is clearly a manufacturer defect. Will never buy Whirlpool again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Donna6515 from It has the features I wanted I purchased this about a month ago and it works well. I had a different brand for 20+ years so the settings I'm still getting used to. One feature really different or I need to figure out is the defrost since it seems if I want to defrost something and its not a preset feature, how to defrost without heating time cook, adjusting the power to 30% and start. Previous microwave I pressed defrost and entered amount of time, it automatically went to 30% power. Didn't need microwave with a lot of extras since I use one for defrosting and heating, not actually cooking meals in it. It's quieter than my old one, a little larger and meets my needs.
