Rated 1 out of 5 by Jimbor from Looks good - performance $ features not so good This is an above stove MW. here are the issues: - The top right side mounting screw was moved inward without support to the right side of the unit. This causes a gap between the upper cabinet and the unit. - There is only one light to illuminate the work surface of the stove. It is located in the back of the MW, causing poor lighting to the front of the stove forward burners. - Within 60 days the unit died. Technician found a blown fuse. - After fuse was replaced, 30 days later the 20 amp fuse blew again. Technician replaced fuse. - A PLC was ordered to see if that was the cause. - Waiting on part.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nay2Barrow from Defrost is the best My old microwave died and we bought this new Whirlpool microwave about 2 weeks ago. In my house, a microwave is a must, not a luxury. We use it for nearly everything. Both my husband and I 'LOVE" the defrost feature. With our other microwaves, even when using the proper settings for defrosting meats, the meats always came out cooked around the edges, or still frozen in the center. This new Whirlpool microwave produces perfectly defrosted meats, as if you just purchased them fresh from the market. Even the flavor and tenderness of the meat is so much better. We are so happy that we purchased this Whirlpool microwave. It's the best.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Dissattisfied Customer from Problems with Computer Board I bought this microwave in July 2019 and I have had to have the computer board replaced twice. My request for a new microwave was denied. I know that once the warranty expires, the computer board will burn out again. Obviously, there is a serious problem with this microwave. I have been told by service repairmen that this happens a lot with this microwave and there should be a recall. I bought six new whirlpool appliances last year, so it really disappointed me that that whirlpool corporation was unwilling to replace this microwave.

Rated 1 out of 5 by TEC10 from Worst microwave ever Automatic functions stopped working in less than 2 months and everything burns. Frozen food will get exceedingly hot in one small spot while the remainder stays frozen. The only 2 parts, the computer board and humidity sensor, were replaced under warranty and the problems are unresolved. Because it heats, whirlpool said it’s functioning and there’s nothing more to do. When I repeatedly asked what I can do to get it to function as written in the owner manual, I was told if it heats, it’s functioning according to the engineering department. So much for the features, no sensor heating, no defrosting, no automatic functions, burns everything, but it heats! Worst microwave ever.

The repairman says the sensor is bad, and the timer is not working. I am still waiting for parts to come in (that's August through November so far!!!). The metal rack also cannot be used because that's what starts things on fire. Cannot get Customer Service to return calls, cannot get local repair service for Whirlpool to answer since original talks when CS says local has to repair, and local says Whirlpool has to repair. No one will help!!! I am furious and I live without the microwave I purchased. Do not buy from this company!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Venturaz42 from I like—almost love this microwave It takes some getting used to. My old one (very old) was also Whirlpool and I did love it. There are features on this new one that I’m not totally in love with. Defrosting anything for example—after choosing the right item and the amount, the unit “scans” what’s inside to determine how long and what wattage to use. I’ll likely get used to it but for now, it seems to lengthen the time needed for defrosting. Same thing for reheating an item. Anyway, all in all, it’s a great unit and very quiet when running. I’m also not sure about the vent fan. I’m hoping it’s just because the sound is less than my old one. It does have 4 fan settings which is nice.
