Fit System Guarantee

The Whirlpool^® Fit System Limited Guarantee ensures your new Whirlpool^® appliances will fit into your existing cabinet space, or Whirlpool will help make it right. The guarantee covers:

• Low Profile Microwave Hood Combinations (MHC): Full refund if your new low profile microwave doesn't fit your existing 30" wide undercabinet hood or standard MHC space

• Wall Ovens: Up to $300 toward professional cabinet modification for 27" or 30" single, double, or combination wall ovens

• Slide-in Ranges: Up to $100 toward countertop modification for 30" slide-in ranges

This guarantee is valid for qualified replacement models purchased between January 1, 2026 and December 31, 2026. Click on the “Learn More” links above for qualifying model numbers.

To submit a Fit System Guarantee claim, follow these steps:

Step 1 - Within 30 days of purchase or delivery date (whichever is later) and prior to cabinet modification:

• Complete your contact, model, and purchase information

• Call the Fit System Limited Guarantee Service Center at 800-253-1301 to initiate your claim

Step 2 - Within 90 days of purchase or delivery date (whichever is later), mail these documents to the address provided by the Service Representative:

• Completed and signed claim form

• Legible copy of your sales receipt dated between January 1, 2026 and December 31, 2026

• Proof of delivery date (if using delivery date to calculate the 30/90-day claim periods)

• Photograph of the existing model being replaced

• For wall ovens and ranges: Dated invoice from a professional installer showing cabinet modification costs

Yes! The Whirlpool^® Low Profile Microwave Hood Combination with the Fit System Limited Guarantee is specifically designed to replace your existing 30" wide undercabinet hood or standard microwave hood combination. The guarantee requires a minimum install height of 24" from the top of your cooking surface or counter to the bottom of your upper cabinet. If your new low profile microwave doesn't fit this standard cutout, Whirlpool® will provide a full refund of the purchase price, eliminating the hassle of the return process.

Your new Whirlpool^® 27" or 30" built-in wall oven must be replacing an existing standard cabinet cut-out of a compatible model width and configuration. The Fit System Limited Guarantee covers replacement installations in your existing cabinet only—it is not valid for new cabinet installations related to new home construction or remodeling. If your wall oven doesn't fit your existing standard cabinet cut-out, Whirlpool^® will provide up to $300 toward the cost of professionally modifying your cabinet's height or width.

The Fit System Limited Guarantee for 30" Whirlpool^® slide-in ranges covers specific cutout dimensions:

• Width: 30" cutout

• Countertop depth: 24"-25"

• Cabinet depth: 23"-24"

• Countertop height: 36"

If your countertop cut-out depth is less than 24" and you are not satisfied with the fit of your new Whirlpool^® 30" slide-in range, Whirlpool^® will provide up to $100 toward the cost of professionally modifying the depth of your countertop cut-out. This guarantee is only valid for replacement installations, not new construction or remodeling projects.

The refund policy depends on which appliance type you purchase:

• Low Profile Microwaves: Full refund of the purchase price if your new Whirlpool^® low profile microwave doesn't fit your existing 30" undercabinet hood space

• Wall Ovens: Up to $300 reimbursement toward professional cabinet modification costs (not a full refund)

• Slide-in Ranges: Up to $100 reimbursement toward professional countertop modification costs (not a full refund)

Your sole and exclusive remedy under this Limited Guarantee is as specified above. Finance charges, removal costs, and delivery/installation costs are not covered by the guarantee.

Beyond the Fit System Guarantee: Whirlpool.com Standard Return Policy

In addition to the Fit System Limited Guarantee, all purchases made directly from Whirlpool.com are protected by our customer satisfaction return policy:

• 15-Day Return Window: Request a return within 15 days of delivery for a product refund with no return fees (product must be new and unused)

• Damaged Upon Delivery: If your appliance arrives damaged, you can request a return, exchange, or repair within 30 days of delivery

• Extended Return Period: Returns between days 16-30 are accepted with a 20% restocking fee ($50 minimum)

This standard return policy operates independently from the Fit System Guarantee and applies to purchases made directly through Whirlpool.com; if you purchased your appliance from an authorized retailer, please refer to that retailer's specific return policy. There is a limit of one claim per household for each appliance category:

• One microwave claim per household

• One wall oven claim per household

• One built-in refrigeration claim per household (if applicable)

The guarantee is only valid in the USA and not valid for bulk or multi-unit sales to apartments, condominiums, subdivisions, and wholesalers. Qualified replacement models must be purchased between January 1, 2026 and December 31, 2026.

The following costs are excluded from the Fit System Limited Guarantee:

• Finance charges on your appliance purchase

• Costs incurred for removal of your previous hood or microwave

• Cost of delivery of the qualifying Whirlpool^® appliance

• Cost of installation of the new appliance

• Any costs related to new cabinet installations for new home construction or remodeling

For wall ovens and slide-in ranges, you will be reimbursed for professional cabinet or countertop modification costs up to the specified maximum amounts ($300 for wall ovens, $100 for ranges), but only if you provide a dated invoice from a licensed contractor.

No, the Fit System Limited Guarantee is only valid for replacement installations in your existing cabinet. The guarantee is specifically designed to help homeowners replace existing appliances with confidence, knowing their new Whirlpool appliance will fit the space left by their old one. It is not valid for new cabinet installations related to new home construction or remodeling projects.

If you're planning a kitchen renovation with new cabinetry, you'll need to work with your contractor to ensure proper measurements and fitment without relying on the Fit System Guarantee.
