Rated 5 out of 5 by Skippy1234 from Excellent! Researched Washers & Dryers for quite some time. I have had Whirlpool appliances in the past decided Whirlpool was again what I wanted. Glad I made the choice. The Accu-dry feature is perfect. It never fails me! I love the temperature settings too. My clothes come out looking like they are brand new again. Have always had Gas dryers and this time we went with Electric. Hands down this dryer gets a load done in at least 1/2 the time it took in our older Gas dryer. It looks great, is quiet and all cycles do the job they are supposed to. I am extremely happy we bought this machine. It's a "top of the line" feel for a very good, low price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from Works well but has a couple of shortcomings The machine seems to dry my clothes fine and I like the Wrinkle Shield feature a lot, also. The only real issues I have found have been the extremely tight latch on the door and the lack of substantive weight of the machine when compared with the old Whirlpool which I just replaced. When I pulled on the door forcefully to try to get it to open, the entire machine slid forward...no way that would have been possible with my terrific old machine. The repairman has been able to loosen the latch on the new one a bit now..otherwise I'm fairly certain the door handle would have eventually pulled off from all the hard tugging that was required.

My old Whirlpool was 15 years old and was pretty noisy and it took a long time to dry things. This new dryer was a real surprise. It is quiet and does not take very long to dry clothes. In fact I would say that it takes less than half the time of my old dryer. I like the different setting for different types of clothing too. When it comes to washers and dryers, I always look at other brands, but only by Whirlpool. Oh, yes, I must add that this model of dryer is not overloaded with electronics which, in my opinion, makes it a lot simpler to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Great Front Loader This is my second Whirlpool dryer in 33 years, the first one died after 32 years, so of course I decided to go with Whirlpool again! My last Whirlpool dryer was a front loader, as is this one. A front loader is so handy, the door acts as a mini shelf and I so like that an interior light has been added. This model is a combo of mechanical and electronic controls and is one reason why I choose it and since my old mechanical model lasted so long. It is simple, easy to use and has useful and convenient features. The only negative is that is seems that the 'hot' dry is not as hot as my old dryer but perhaps that is best as the clothes fibers will not suffer from too much heat.

I have a king size down comforter that barely fit in my previous “large load capacity” dryer and had caused damage to other past comforters. But this dryer is huge and my comforter fits in it with a lot of room to spare so it drys it so much quicker! There’s a lot of great features too, like the wrinkle guard that keeps your clothes wrinkle free if you leave them in the dryer too long by periodically warming them up for a few minutes. What’s also great about that though is that it will only do it a certain amount of times so as to not waste energy. There are a lot of heat setting options as well!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lifepics from Easy to use and works well My old set was twenty two years old and had served their purpose well. I wanted the new high efficiency models but didn't want the units to be so computerized that they would be difficult to use or be costly to repair. My main criteria for purchasing a new washer and dryer were they they work well and get my clothes clean and dry. My new washer is easy to use and gets my clothes clean and they are not as wet when they are ready to put into the dryer. My new dryer is huge and holds very large loads of sheets and a blanket plus a few other items. I am very pleased with their service and would recommend these simpler units so far. Both units are quiet.
