Rated 1 out of 5 by Mrs. T from Don't do it.......it's a lemon!! If there was a negative star option I would rate this as such. This washer last barely over 2 years with the first repair occurring shortly after I bought it (and it was out of use for 6 months while we waited for parts). Recently it broke down again and now the technician is telling me it will cost more to fix it than replace it. I chatted with Whirlpool and their only suggestion was to purchase another one with a one-time 40% discount. Why would I want to do that to myself? A 40% discount on a $1200 washer that won't last is no bargain. If you're even remotely considering purchasing this washer, please run the other way and don't look back!

Rated 1 out of 5 by UNRELIABLE WHIRLPOOL from UNRELIABLE AND UNTRUSTWORTHY BRAND IN THE INDUSTRY WHIRLPOOL'S PRODUCTS ARE THE WORST IN THE INDUSTRY!!! I bought both the washer and dryer for my 80 years old parents for their condo. We had a total of at least 6 service calls/repairs on the washer alone in less than 8 months. The technician kept replacing the control panel which was deemed as the major flaw of the machine. It was a waste of time to deal with these service calls and repairs. They are denying such flaw/defect and refused to replace with another model. I am certain that WHIRLPOOL should already known this major flaw/defect on the machine – STOP SELLING THE DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS TO CONSUMERS! UNRELIABLE AND UNTRUSTWORTHY BRAND IN THE INDUSTRY!

I am on the fourth replacement in one month since I moved in. I have done as few as one and no more than three loads before something breaks. I will never trust whirlpool again. My understanding from maintenance staff is that nearly every washer in the building has had to be replaced. I can't believe what kind of total screw-up happened in whirlpool's design/QA operation, but clearly the staff is incompetent. In addition, the controls are funky and not at all easy to use. DO NOT BUY THIS! The dryer is not much better - takes forever to finish and then it is still not dry - the sensors are inadequate.

Pressing the power button to turn the unit on was fiddly and frustrating in itself. Then a few weeks into ownership, the unit stopped working and I had to replace it. It took about three weeks to finally get a replacement. The process of getting a replacement required about 10 separate emails and phone calls to their customer service. The replacement worked about a month and a half. The touch panel was also very fiddly. Finally the unit broke just like the last one. I'm now mentally preparing for my next Whirlpool customer service experience as I write this. My recommendation - stay away from the Whirlpool brand. It is terrible.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Trish from Very dissatisfied Eleven months after I purchased this washer the motherboard went out. Six months later the new motherboard has gone out. Whirlpool is almost impossible to get in touch with. It took three days on the phone the first time. I purchased a service contract with them and they set up an appointment and the service company never showed. I called the service company and they told me they no longer do warranty work for Whirlpool. I have been trying to reach Whirlpool again today without any success. I decided to remedy the problem online, but again, without success. All this for a washer that is a little over a year old.

Rated 1 out of 5 by MaggieW from It's dead after 3 months; no warranty coverage This is a May 2020 model, I hear from the repairman; it came with my condo purchased in July 2021 with the stickers, manual and blue film still on it. It worked great until September, and now does not work whatsoever. Program is stuck on 52 minutes and never advances, motor running sound but no water and no tumbling action. And the door is stuck in 'lock,' so I can't put clothes in even if it was working. The repairman says a $500 motherboard repair is the only way forward. Look at these uniformly wretched reviews, Whirlpool. This product is an utter clunker and the least you can do is fix it for us.
