Rated 2 out of 5 by Anonymous from problem keeping cold This refrigerator was installed one week ago. Right from day one, I had trouble getting it to cool enough. On day 2, I set temp. control to one setting colder, waited 24 hrs., still only 45 degrees. On day 3, I set to coldest setting, and is holding around 40 degrees, and 8 above in freezer, too warm. Called cust. service, someone came out nest day. He opened the door, asked some questions, gave me a spiel about air temp. vs. food temp., said the only problem could be the sensor and do I want to order it? Waiting for part. Our old Whirlpool was 20 yrs. old, never needed anything.For the price this is a very good basic fridge. I just want it colder.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Rita M from Very noisy I am not happy with this refrigerator. First of all it is not energy star efficient. Therefore you are not entitled to any rebate. It never stops running and is noisy. There is frost in the freezer. It is supposed to be finger print resistant. It is not. You have to use a special cleaner and really rub hard to get the finger prints off. The first refrigerator that was delivered had to be returned as it did not make ice. At least this one makes ice. I have always purchased Whirlpool appliances and been very satisfied. My last Whirlpool refrigerator lasted 15 years. I am very disappointed with this one. Quality control is a thing of the past.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Joseph from Has never run properly. Bought this just over a month ago. It never seemed to cycle on and off properly and temperatures were erratic. Three days ago, the refrigerator area temperature rose to 56 degrees. The refrigerator has now run for 3 solid days without shutting off. A puddle of water has always formed on the top shelf of the fridge from day one and items on the lower shelf above the produce drawers froze. Techs just left saying it appeared not to be sealing properly and adjusted the doors. Ice had blocked the channel to bring cool air into the refrigerator. I'll see what happens over the next day or two but I'm totally dissatisfied with this refrigerator since it was delivered.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Chief Cook from Poor Handle Design I bought this refrigerator in December 2023 and the refrigerator door handle broke in July. There are two adults in the household so the handle was not abused. Using plastic to attach the handle to the door is a poor design. Although the handle has been replaced under warranty with an OEM part by a certified Whirlpool repair company, the stainless steel handle on the refrigerator door does not match that on the freezer door. It is noticeably darker. I was told by Whirlpool that this is due to the variation in manufacturing plants. This is not acceptable. I purchased a Whirlpool appliance due to my past positive experience with the company.

Rated 4 out of 5 by None from Winner! This refrigerator meets and exceeds my expectations. It has plenty of room, and the clear glass shelves make "browsing" easier. This refrigerator stays consistently cold in both areas, no warm and cold spots. I love the lighting, it is easy on the eyes. Likewise, the freezer is very roomy, and the lighting is great. I am not so happy with the freezer door rails. They are set quite far from the shelves, and there is a substantial space. Packages of food (frozen veges, hotdog packages, frozen pasta bags, etc.) drop right through onto the floor. Still, this is a great refrigerator, and I am pleased with it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous from Good lighting The fridge part must be built for a very short person. I am 5 ft tall and I have to bend over to see and get items out of fridge. My husband is not too pleased either as he is way taller than me. I hit my head on the freezer door due to my reaching down and coming back up. I did not physically see this as was ordered directly from Whirlpool over the phone and went on reviews and none mention this problem. It seem as if the freezer door is too tall. In all my years of owning refrigerators and I am 69 years old I have not had this problem. The only positive thing is it is roomy and well lit. My advice is do not buy something like this sight unseen.
