A month ago, we noticed ice cream was NOT totally froze in the freezer, but the frigerator was freezing everything. No, the vents are not covered and, yes, we have changed the settings to no avail. This is a secondary fridge so it is not overloaded. VERY DISAPPOINTED in WHIRLPOOL...I've been a Whirlpool customer for 40 years, but NO MORE. I've heard Whirlpools only last about 7 years now, which I thought was rediculous due to the prices on these units, but less than 2 years??? Where is the customer service?? Do you not stand behind your products at all??? Shame on you!

Rated 1 out of 5 by 5263nj from Bad experience! I bought this refrigerator less than 3 years ago. I complained in the beginning at Lowes in Burlington, IA where I bought it & at Whirlpool. Frost builds up on my food & the refrigerator makes this loud noise that can be heard in other rooms approximately every 2-3 hours, lasting about 30-45 minutes. I had a repair man look at it & he said the freezer motor was bad & replaced it. It didn't change a thing. I've called him several times, but I can't seem to get him here during the time when the refrigerator is making the noise. I've had friends over & they ask me, "what is that noise?" I tell them my refrigerator. When they ask for the brand I tell them Whirlpool. Because of my experience, I will never by a Whirlpool appliances again! I was going to add a video of the noise, but had trouble doing so.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from We Couldn't Be More Pleased Once we read the manual and learned that we were supposed to let the refrigerator run for 24 hours prior to adding food, it has been a perfect replacement for our home. Although there is no light in the freezer, the light from our kitchen makes it possible for us to find what we need. Our model keeps both the freezer and refrigerator at the correct temperature. There is plenty of storage and enough shelving for us to place our items where we know we will be able to find them. This is our fourth Whirlpool appliance and we have found all of them to be excellent appliances for the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Just The Right Size I bought the 18 cu. ft. by Whirlpool Refrigerator for a second refrig., because we do a lot of cooking and need the extra refrigerator space often. It is very quiet and makes ice quickly. The drawers slide very easily and is very roomy inside and it fits perfectly in the space we have for this Whirlpool Refrigerator that we recently purchased. It's easy to clean. I I would love to be the winner of the 25 cu. ft. refrigerator you are going to give away. We have the perfect spot for it and we could certainly use all the space that this refrigerator offers.

We had a certain space that a new unit had to fit to replace old unit and this one fit that space, but gives us more interior space then old unit. Especially like the larger freezer space as compared to other 18 CF units. The moveable, side to side, cold cut tray is a great idea, as is the adaptable space in the door for tall bottles. Glass shelves, see through bins are good, and ice maker (which other models at comparable price did not offer as standard feature, work well. Recommended freezer setting holds ice cream just right so that one doesn't have to remove early to allow to soften a bit. After 2 weeks I have yet to find fault.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lefty from Great Features, Very Roomy We had a different brand 18 cu. ft Refrigerator before and the way it was designed inside had less usable space in it. I really like the way this one is designed. I do however think that the crisper drawer should be on the door opening side instead of the hinge side. That would take care of the problem of removing the drawer to clean when the hinge side is next to a wall. At this time we will have to pull the refrigerator out to open door farther so we can remove crisper drawer. Not a big problem just a little inconvenient.We had the same issue with the other refrigerator.
