I DO NOT LIKE SNOW WHITE
I lost my old "fridge" to age (30 years) it was bigger and had more capacity, but I am a widower recently and just me and my dog.I would have chosen a different color but I had financial limits so I got this "Snow White" wonder! The insides fitted my needs perfectly, it was the outside that needed refacing. On the north (left) side I created a complete Piet Mondrian desighn, Outstanding! Just recently I have a reproduction of Van Gogh's "Cafe Terrace At Night" My kitchen is beginning to look like the Louvre! Do I like my NEW fridge? You BET I DO!

Excellent refrigerator
I have had several refrigerators in the past and this is my favorite. It looks great and performs wonderfully. There is plenty of room inside and I just love all the door storage! I have not had a single problem with it. The ice maker, which is important to me, keeps up with my huge demands for ice. I love the glass shelves and easy clean up. It really holds quite a lot of food, and keeps everything nice and cold. Very quiet when running. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. I will purchase Whirlpool products again if needed. I love it!

Perfect for smaller space
This is a great side by side fridge. We replaced the last Whirlpool fridge, after 15 years. This is the same model with improved features. It's beautiful in black, and interior is white with clear shelves. I love the filtered water and the push button lock feature to prevent my young children from making a mess with the water and ice dispenser. surprisingly holds a lot of food. I especially love that the door holds full gallon milks. I would recommend this fridge to anyone who wants a good reliable quality fridge that is reasonably priced!

THIS IS NOT A GOOD PRODUCT TO BUY UNLESS
THE PROBLEM WITH THIS PRODUCT IS IT WAS WAY TOO SMALL - EVEN THOUGH THE SIZE LISTED STATED THAT IN AREA IT WOULD BE LARGE ENOUGH. THE FREEZER COMPARTMENT ICE BUCKET TOOK UP ALMOST HALF OF THE FREEZER SO YOU COULD NOT PUT ANYTHING IN IT. IF IT IS TO BE USED BY ONE PERSON WHO DOESN'T FREEZE ANYTHING IT WOULD BE OKAY. THE REFRIGERATOR SIDE COULD HAVE BEEN ENOUGH BUT JUST BARELY ENOUGH. I SENT THE PRODUCT BACK. I WILL ADD THAT THE ACTUAL WORKMANSHIP OF THE MOTOR WAS AS DESCRIBED. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT FOR ANYONE BECAUSE OF ITS SIZE.

Best fridge and freezer I'v ever owned
Moved into a house that didn't have a fridge and wanted to get a side by side with the ice and water. Shopped for couple days and went with the whirlpool brand and i just love it. It is very quite, you can't even hear it running. The water and ice maker work great and the built in water filter was a snap to change when the time came due for that. Like this product so much that when it came time to get a dishwasher I went with the same brand and I'm very impressed with that as well. Dishes come out clean every time and is also very quite.

Good performance from new (three month old) applicance.
Our appliance is performing well after three months. The spill guard feature is great on the white surfaces of the refrigerator and spills wipe up with one swipe. The glass shelves, however, never look clear and shiny after being cleaned, maybe the result of wet shelves in a cold environment. Although adequate, the capacity is less in this unit than the one that I had. I especially enjoy the door dispensers for ice and water, which have been trouble-free up to this time. All-in-all we are pleased with our new Whirlpool refrigerator.

Not really happy with this product.
I`m thinking that I purchased a dated model without being informed by my store asst. I would have gotten intouch in Jan. but was to ill. The Freezer door stays ajar, letting the freezerair seep out. The ice maker makes non completed ice cubes, 95%chips to maybe 5% cubes.I`ve shopped at P.C. Richards for numerous appliances. On a whole my Wife and I have been pretty happy with our purchases. This refrigerator has been a disapointment to say the least. Hoping P.C Richards can make a few positive surgestions. Sincerally F. Novak

Worst Whirlpool Fridge we have owned
The only complaint we have is the drawers. For one, their is no meat drawer. Two, the bottom drawers are made of a cheap plastic and are not on rollers. Just slide in and out of the bracket. If you do not pull them very slowley and from the center, they will bind and break. Bottom drawer is 150.00. Have had them replaced under warranty twice already. Wish we would have exchanged it. Not something we would have beleived for a Whirlpool stainless side by side. All other appliances are Whirlpool and have had no problems.

This is one of the few models which would fit in my small space. It is very poorly designed as to the lower air coolant vent. This vent hits right above the veg drawer causing condensate to form in the drawer - actually dripping into the drawer spoiling veg. I have to keep a washcloth there to absorb the water. Only apples or hard veg can be stored there. Any other "high moisture" veg (all veg, really) must be stored in the lowest drawer. It is under warranty and I was told by the service person that this is "normal" for this unit and nothing can be done. He had seen this before and it is just the way it is made. Whirlpool told me to seal all veg in ziplock bags to keep away from moisture. This ensures they spoil even faster! Do not buy this unit if you like a lot of fresh veg.

Perfect refrigerator for limited spaces.
We got this refrigerator because it was one of the only ones that fit the small space we had. It really is nice, we are quite happy with it. Everything functions as it should and it is pretty well-designed. The only thing I would change is that the freezer door shelves are not adjustable and so far we have nothing that will fit in some of those spaces. The refrigerator part is very well designed, with flexible storage. I'm really happy Whirlpool makes this size refrigerator with the water and ice dispenser!

I couldn't love this refrigerator more.
For the price of this unit it is outstanding. The quality of this refrigerator is great. It does not have all the unneccessary bells and whistles but it has all the needed features and a few extras too like crushed or cubed ice and water in the door.. It is quiet, quiet, quiet and energy star rated too. The doors are texturized to elliminate finger prints, in fact the exterior side walls are textured as well. This machine leaves me warm and fuzzy all over while making sure my food doesn't get that way.

Very pleased with purchase.
It is a joy to put up groceries with my new side-by-side refrigerator, I am able to see everything on the shelves, plus items are easier to reach. The capacity of the meat and vegetable drawers is great, as well as the amount of items the door can hold. Another feature I love, is access to ice and water without opening the freezer door. This has encouraged me to drink more water. The freezer space is narrow, but the shelves adjust and it holds as muh as my old traditional refrigerator. Very pleased.

A good inexpensive refrigerator
I have had several whirlpool products. I keep purchasing whirlpool products because I like the overall quality of their products. This particular refrigerator is basically a good appliance. It has ample storage for my purposes and makes a lot of ice efficiently. I think that the drawers could be a little more heavy duty as they are light and do not slide on their rails all that well. This would be a good size for a couple or small family or as a second refrigerator which is how I am using it.

This fridge makes me angry.
Not only did the water dispenser break (twice, guys) barely out of warranty, but the shelves are now falling apart. This fridge is less than two years old. There isn't enough space for food storage for two adults and three small children???especially in the freezer.Also, the water pressure coming out of the water dispenser has always been a severe disappointment, and our home water pressure is excellent everywhere else. It was installed by professionals.I can't stand this fridge.

Not thrilled, but dont hate it
I was disappointed that the little ridged tray below the ice and water dispenser is not removable. It is extremely difficult to keep it clean. I drink a lot of ice water, and it's hard to remember to wipe it dry each time--plus there are sometimes drips from the ice dispenser. The last side by side I had, the tray just popped out and could be put into the dishwasher. Finally, instructions for changing the filter were incorrect--I had to call customer service.

Love our fridge
We have had our fridge for about a month. I absolutely LOVE it! The only thing that we have a little trouble with is the storage space in the freezer but we were limited on space in our kitchen and we have a deep freeze so it works best for our needs! The space in the fridge side itself is amazing, its so nice to be able to put everything in with ease and not having to pile it all on top of each other. I would DEFINITELY recommend this fridge to others!!

Wonderful product!!!!
My husband and I had a larger Whirlpool refrigerator that was about15 yrs. old and we decided to downsize to a more energy savingappliance. Whirlpool was the only one I wanted, they are so dependable, no problems, convenient to use, spaceous enough foreverything!! We Love Ours!!!!! Plus, it doesn't make a sound, veryquiet. We own a Whirlpool washer and dryer that are also 15 yrs. old,but we are on limited income. I love Whirlpool products!!!!

I got this fridge as I was limited to my choices beacuse of the dimensions of the opening available in my home. Not happy because I really couldn't "shop around". However, I am very pleased with the efficiency, ease of cleaning, adjustable shelving and ice maker capacity. The water filter is great as I live in central Florida and the sulpheric smell and taste in the water from the fridge is non existant.I am very please with my purchase.

Good Side-by-Side
Purchased our Whirlpool Side-by Side approx. 2 months ago. Love the door "gallon" storage on the fridge. Cubed/Crushed Ice with Water dispenser in the door is a great feature, especially with kids. Cannot fit a full size pizza in the freezer but there is a nice basket in the bottom that works great for the frozen veggies. I would recommend this Side-by-Side to anyone looking for a big fridge/smaller freezer with ice/water thru the door.

Good overall
Several things I love about my refrigerator: The lighting in both sides; the money I save (almost $10) per month since installation; the quietness; the pull-out drawer in the bottom of the freezer.Things I was disappointed about: the fact that there was no drawer inside. Luckily, I saved the drawer from my old fridge which fit perfectly in this new one. This works for keeping cold cuts and cheeses.Overall, I'm really pleased!

good quality appliances affordable prices
I have been buying Whirlpool products for 35 years, Each one has given me excellent service except one I bought an upright freezer 4 yrs. ago. I had not had it but two months and the compressor went out and I lost all the food in it. I still buy Whirlpool because I have a washer and dryer I have had for 12 years and they still work fine. I would love to have a new one because I know they are good quality. Thank you Linda

Nice design, but poorly built
I thought I found exactly what I wanted. Size was great fit for my Kitchen. The cost was what I could afford for the double doors that I wanted.. I was not able to actually see this model in person, but was told by the salesman at Bestbuy that it was just a smaller version of what I was looking at in the store, which is what I was looking for. After it was delivered, I found the doors do not automatically swing shut like all other refridgeraters I had in the past. The most irritating thing to me is the cheap plastic used for the drawers. They don't slide in, they stick. It's more like having to shove each side of the drawers a little bit at a time to get them shut. Since my previous refridgerator had quit working all to together, I needed a refridgerator fast, and pretty much just settled for this one because it sounds like Whirlpool's are known for their reliability.

This refer is perfect for me!
I love my new fridge! Great adjustable door shelves and big enough to hold the big gallon fatties. I like the light inside in front of the fridge instead of back lit. Also it has nice smooth buttons on the outside for easy cleaning. Great lines, looks good and fits perfect. I like the idea of it only costing $57 a year compared to the $120+ for my old one. Good small refrigerator, needs another drawer though
We purchased this one to replace a model almost exactly like this one. One thing we really miss from our old frig is the 3rd drawer on the refrigerator side. This one only has 2 drawers on the bottom--a meat drawer and a vegetable drawer. Where do you put your lunchmeat and cheese....? We are looking at getting a plastic tub to sit on one of the shelves to put small loose things like that. Another thing that struck me about this one is that the corners of the door look unfinished and you can even see the foam insulation in the seams. That will not effect performance though, just looks bad to me. Improvements I've seen on this one from our old one is a better door on the ice maker dispenser and the auger on the ice maker is more effective in dispensing ice. They've also added an indicator light for the water filter, but we still probably won't replace it when it goes bad though.

Not quite the refrigerator that we thought we were buying.
We were really fooled by this refrigerator. We certainly did not expect what we have in our kitchen. The refrigerator functions OK, but has too many restrictions on shelf positions and the water dispenser literally splashes water all over the floor. The freezer compartment also has too many limitations on shelf positioning. We should have purchased a different refrigerator/freezer.

Problems too early
Tired of dealing with servicemen with used products. Bought new and even though only a few months old have had service out a couple of times already. Thank God I sprung for the extended warranty. Filter change light seems to be something I could do with a calendar rather than having a light to tell me that. Compressor makes noise on and off. Service seems to be good though so far.

Poor quality
I have had this product for less than a year and have had to have it repaired twice. First, the freezer stopped working and had to have a part replaced. Then, the icemaker had a problem and had to have a part ordered and replaced. This added up to 3 visits (so far) from the appliance repairman, which means I had to take time off work 3 times due to this appliance. Not to mention having to find another place to store our frozen food while it was on the blink. Oh, and since it was a new appliance...we first replaced our circuit board b/4 calling the reairman. Then we called an electrician out to check our wiring thinking that must be the problem since the appliance was brand new. That cost us over $75 only to find out that we bought a faulty appliance plus the expense of having to purchase an extended warranty after the fact since we don't trust it from failing again. I'll never buy a whirlpool of any kind again.

Has Unnecessary Design Flaws
This refrigerator came with our house and it’s the one thing in our kitchen that my husband and I both dislike. Basically, it functions fine but there are enough inexplainable design flaws that we bought a new fridge to replace it, despite the fact that it’s still functioning.
Pros:
- Fridge and freezer both keep food at appropriate temperatures
- Lots of storage in fridge door (which is needed because shelf space is limited)
- In the 3 years we’ve been using it we have not had it serviced and it continues to function well (I don’t know the age of it as it came with the house)
- Stainless steel front is magnetic, a plus if you like using magnets on your fridge
Cons:
- Fridge shelves have a wide plastic band around them, limiting amount of functional shelf space
- There is a gap between the bottom shelf and back wall large enough for a 12 ounce can to fall into the drawer below. Why they designed it this way makes no sense and it’s annoying every time you have to fish out a can, bottle, or container that has fallen off the shelf.
- Ice maker is large and takes up far too much space, plus the ice in the bottom oftentimes melts together just enough to form a large clump of cubes that won’t dispense. I gave up using the dispenser and just open the freezer to grab ice cubes as I need them—sort of defeats the purpose of the dispenser.
- Freezer shelves are not adjustable. Kiss frozen pizzas goodbye unless you’re willing to sacrifice an entire shelf to house one pizza at a time (placed diagonally across the shelf)
- The tray below the dispenser, meant to catch ice cubes or water is not removable and cleaning it is a hassle.
- Freezer door storage is limited, not adjustable, and depth of containers isn’t conducive to storing much in them
The people we bought our house from had a small deep freeze and a mini-fridge in the basement and after three years using this Whirlpool I understand why. My mom always said she would never buy a side-by-side refrigerator because the space is poorly utilized and you can’t store as much in it as you can in a classic fridge. She was right. My new fridge is a freezer-on-bottom and I cannot wait for it to be delivered! :)

This is an awesome side by side, the amount of space in the fridge is amazing! I love the Gallon size door shelves! The freezer is a little on the small side but well worth it for the amount of space in the firdge! Also it is super quiet, compaired to my last fridge that woke me up in the night when it came on. Also when the doors open and shut it is very quiet. I love it!
