First one the compressor ran 21 hours daily and was extremely loud to point you could not be in the room and have a conversations. Second one that we have now freezer temperature may be -2 degrees or 33 degrees, never know. Best Buy repairman was unable to repair, suggested we contact Whirlpool, which we did. A repairman sent out by Whirlpool suggested it may be a bad mother board and he is to contact Whirlpool for directions. We are waiting

Rated 4 out of 5 by Bill67 from Some issues Fits space well. It does rattle for several seconds when the compressor starts frequently. Must order two additional freezer shelves, since there are hangers for 6 shelves but only 4 are supplied with purchase. The display counter for filling water cups does not work unless one starts filling a cup then immediately stop and restart filling, then the counter appears. Food is frozen or cold as desired. Installation was strange: the installers said I (the customer) had to connect the old water line, since they were not allowed. And, the brochures stated a new water line is included, obviously not. In addition, the air filter was missing and I had to call Whirlpool and request a filter. Their response was very fast.

I have called 4 times.. twice on hold over 25+ min. Hung up, as I work in an ER!! Got through once, they told me I had to have the serial #.. I already had the model# and they were able to pull up the delivery!!?? Called today.. got through to someone 32 minutes in. At 63 minutes... she tells me its the wrong serial number and I would have to get correct one and call back!! HOW HOW do I get an email of my purchase with all the details. customer rep finds me and the appliance but can not proceed! Now I dont know when I can call again with that kind of time and I have a whole space I can not put food in because there is no shelf!! But yet paid good money for what I thought was a great company. The fact that most of the reviews are not great should be looked into. Im very very upset to get a new home, all new appliances and its been nothing but an issue for a plastic freaking shelf!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Keith from Whirlpool is junk. Sounds like an old car engine I hate my whirlpool refrigerator. Every three to six months, I have to replace the damper part # Whirlpool W11236851. It sounds like an old car engine. It's so loud I can hear in other rooms downstairs from the refrigerator. I hate it, hate it, hate it. It's been replaced several times and now it's out of warranty I have to pay for it at roughly $400 every time, so about $800 per year. I tell my friends not to buy whirlpool and I will NEVER buy another in my lifetime.
