Counter Depth French Door Stainless Steel
This was an exchange for a side by side that not only made inconsistent LOUD noises & knocks, it finally stopped cooling altogether! Parts needed to be replaced 3 times! and still did not solve the issue.
My exchange was for a counter depth French Door that I had to pay over $600 extra for & it TOO is making Very Loud, knocking & rattling sounds. I have called Whirlpool & they advised maybe there was still air in the water lines so I ran not 1 3 gallons through but followed the next day with another 3 gallons. This is did solve the rattling, growling, knocking so I am calling them again.

ugh, I lost everything
This fridge and freezer was bought and installed in a new construction build 3 years ago. Not in love with the fridge but due to COVID supply chain issues we did not have a huge selection in a small community. Fast forward to last night - around 9 pm opened the doors to get a beverage and noticed when taking a drink that the juice was warm. The temp displays on both the fridge and freezer read OFF. No alarms had sounded. When I turned the cooling back on and set the temps my fridge read 74 degrees and freezer 44 degrees. Everything was a complete loss. I live in Alaska. Groceries are crazy expensive. Absolutely crushed.

Love it.
Love the features. Wide open doors. Divided meat tray. Temperature control. The easy to clean exterior finish .
The reason I only gave 4 stars is there was no information for those who don't hook up the ice maker. It was 2 weeks before we realised that we had to shut off the ice maker that was not in use and not hooked up. We found out on line when we tried to find out why the fridge was so noisy at intervals.

Great versatility
My counter depth fridge is awesome! The snack tray is so convenient and I like having the freezer section below with lots of fridge space above including shelving on the doors and adjustable racks etc. Really nice appliance!

Metal crackling sound
Less than a year after owning this, it began making an annoying crackling sound when the condenser would run. A tech came out and applied some type of seal which worked for a couple days. He said there was some kind of metal on metal vibration causing it. It then flared up again en masse and the noise drives me nuts. Currently waiting for another tech to come out and hopefully resolve it permanently

Review of 36" Whirlpool French Door Refrigerator
I could not be more pleased with this elegant and perfectly sized French Door Refrigerator. The interior filtered water dispenser is a dream and makes the exterior elegantly simple. Ice maker makes perfectly sized cubes (not so large or small). Interior storage perfect. Dimensions were accurate for a tight fit. It works fantastic and I look forward to years of service. I receive many compliments on it! Whirlpool is rightly a highly rated manufacturing company.

Good Fridge
Like this refrigerator a lot. Plenty of space for a family of 2 and the water filter on the inside wall is a plus. We use it all of the time and have stopped using bottled water altogether.

I purchased this refrigerator one month ago, and from the very beginning it was very noisy, both the compressor and the condenser fan. Not only noisy but condenser and fan run for long periods of time.

Too many freezer issues
I've had this appliance less than 2 years, have had 4 visits to adjust the freezer door after the entire freezer literally froze up, looked like a blizzard had hit! Now the unit has defrosted on its own, so I've lost all the food in there this time. Waiting on another repair visit, this may be the last one. All my other Whirlpool kitchen appliances are working fine, but this refrigerator is definitely not living up to the marketing claims. Very disappointing . . .

Nice fridge!
I like the idea of having two ice makers. We frequently fill a small cooler and in the past we have had to empty our one and only ice maker to to this. With two sources there is always ice left for filling our glasses. I also like the convenient location of the water filter and the water hookup connection. Took me only 2 minutes to switch from my old refrigerator to this new one.

Interior is cheaply constructed
The fruit and vegetable drawers don't slide in evenly, and it takes a bit of focus to get them in correctly. Sometimes they move above the tab meant to regulate the humidity.
Overall, it has a cheap feel.

Interior could be better
I bought my frig about a month ago. Interior water dispenser drips a bit after dispensing water, drawers are flimsy, shelves don’t go all the way to the back leaving a 2” chasm for items to fall through. Ice seems to make its way underneath the freezer door that I have to routinely clean out. I would not buy this frig again. And the water dispenser button is very hard to push (if you have arthritis or are a kid, it would be challenging).

Beautiful fridge - but makes loud cracking noise
I bought this refrigerator last July, and it has developed a loud, cracking noise coming from the back of the fridge. A replacement door diffuser did not fix the issue. So far, a diagnosis and fix has not happened. Will continue to trouble shoot with service.

Good Size and Price

The jury is still out
I bought this 1 week ago. I noticed the top of the door is not even. The installer told me that this happens with the refrigerator. I could choose to have the door tops even or the handles even but not both. What happened to quality control? The freezer is quite large and I like the option of two ice makers. The adjustable shelf for tall bottles is helpful. There is no butter storage area and the small 3rd fruit/vegetable is drawer is too small. I’d rather have 2 larger drawers instead.

OK fridge
We are pleased overall with the refrigerator. The biggest disappointment is the poor location and design of the water dispenser inside the refrigerator. Rather than locating the dispenser outside that operates by pushing your glass against the dispenser lever as on our previous fridge, you have to open up the fridge, hold the glass under the dispenser with one hand and push the dispenser device with the other hand. So, it takes three motions (open door, hold glass, push dispenser) to do what used to take one motion (push glass against dispenser on outside of fridge) with our old fridge. We are happy with the rest of the fridge.
