Rated 2 out of 5 by nothappywithit from Was ok until it needed a repair when only 4 years old I liked the fridge set up itself as well as the appearance. My main problem has been that the door can be very hard to open, especially if you have just closed it. It also makes an annoying vibrating sound at times which can usually be fixed by moving it on the tiles a bit so maybe that is due to some unevenness in our floor rather than a problem with the fridge. However, the refrigerator section stopped working when less than 4 years old and it required a new "jazz board" - the circuit board that controls the defrost cycle. This part is $250 so when you add labor it cost nearly $400. I think that is ridiculous for a less than four year old product!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by McVilleDude from So glad I got this I did a lot of online searches for best refrigerator and came up with this Whirlpool 22cf bottom freezer. So glad I went with this one. I'd never had a bottom freezer before but I think it's actually better than top freezer. No more stooping down to see what's 'lost' in the back of the bottom shelf. Everything is at eye level and this thing keeps things super cold so i think my food will stay fresher longer. makes ice really fast too. LED lights inside top/bottom make everything very visible so nothing getting lost in there anymore. I highly recommend this one. Looks great in my kitchen too. Upgrade from my 12 year old frigidaire top freezer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mit from Quiet and attractive, working as advertised. I've had this refrigerator for a couple weeks and so far it has met or exceeded my expectations. The freezer self-closes when the drawer is within a couple inches of being closed which is a nice feature since there's no alarm. After raising the front of the refrigerator high enough with the leveling legs, the refrigerator door closes on its own from a standstill at 90 degrees open (so no need for an alarm). The kitchen bar stools are just a couple feet from the refrigerator, and it's quiet enough that it's hardly noticeable when sitting at the kitchen bar. I've not installed the water line to the ice maker yet so can't comment on it's performance.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous from Not Happy The Stainless Steel is rusting I Bought this refrigerator in mid July 2016. By the end of that August both door have developed rust spots. Some of it can be cleaned off. But not completely and what does come off. Comes right back after a week or so. Called it in for a warranty. They are not willing to do the right thing and replace the doors. We do not live by the beach. This is unacceptable for a brand new product. I have owned other Stainless appliances that were many years old that did not require extra special cleaning and maintenance to take care of presting rust spots. The door itself does not look like the floor model. There is extra yellow insulation foam poking out of the edges. Not very appling.

I've always loved Whirlpool and wanted another Whirlpool refrig. What sold me on this model was the freezer compartment. It is a huge drawer with lots of space inside to hold frozen items. Best of all, I just pull it out which means I don't have to stoop down to look inside and reach for things. I have bad arthritis in my lower back and hips which makes stooping and leaning far over very painful. But this model is perfect. No stooping or crouching. And this refrigerator holds lots more food, yet fits into the same space as my old one. I couldn't be happier!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Misterbooks from Just what we were looking for We’ve had our fridge about 3 weeks and love it. Plenty of interior space; especially like the lower drawer freezer. We don’t use a lot of ice, so don’t really miss the door dispenser for ice and water. I prefer our reverse osmosis sink dispenser for drinking water, as fridge water is too cold for my preference. Also the smaller ice is nice for this unit. If you don’t need all the bells & whistles, then this is a quiet, spacious unit that should meet most household requirements. We also purchased a chest freezer to replace our old freezer. We freeze a lot of food, so an adjunct freezer pairs nicely with this refrigerator. Overall a great fridge for the price and our purposes.
