This Whirlpool has rusted my flatware, cutlery and new cooking sheets. I've had the flatware and cutlery for many years and have not had this problem with any of my other dishwashers. It is my habit to run the dishwasher at night and put dishes away in the morning. When I open this dishwasher to put things away, there is often dampness in the tub even though I use rinse aid and select heated dry. Sometimes, I can even see water on the inside of the door. I used to like Whirlpool, but not any more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by God's Girl from Great dishwasher! I bought this dishwasher about 3 weeks ago. And I am in love with it! It is so completely quiet I have to try really hard to know if it is running or not. I started out with the silverware tray in the door but I found it too difficult to put things in and out so I moved it to the end of the bottom rack and like it much better. It's very easy to learn how to use it and has so many options for wash and dry. I like the light on the front that shows what part of the cycle it's in. I love the color. It's not hard to keep clean and adds beauty to the kitchen. Overall I am completely pleased with it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a new dishwasher.

Two negative comments: I t think the way the utensil attachment goes on the outside could be designed better so that it is more sturdy. Also, the Cascade guide that is included indicates utensils should be placed in a downward position. This is in direct contrast to what I was told and what is in the booklet that comes with the dishwasher. I feel the directions could be better. Also, the first week or two it was all very quiet. Now during a certain period of time during the cycle, there is a very loud irritating hum. I am going to pay close attention and if doesn't improve, I will be calling my dealer.

We had size restrictions, so the dimensions on this worked out great, and I knew I wanted white. I love the time delay feature, it does a good job washing and it's very quiet. My only issue is that I have to be sure to open the door when the cycle is done because it seems that moisture gets trapped in there. So if I don't open the door to vent it, the condensation inside stays and might get funky. This could probably be remedied if I put on a more intense heat/dry cycle, but it hasn't bothered me enough to try that yet and I figure I am saving electricity lol.

Rated 5 out of 5 by jacquie2319 from Excellent cleaning! This dishwasher is SUPER quiet. Can barely hear that it is running. And Clean! Oh my gosh, no more presoaking or rinsing! The longer wash cycle takes care of that. I love this machine. A few tiny cons - the washer door is heavier that the plastic models, duh. Just need to get used to it. Silverware holes in the covers that space out the utensils need to be slightly wider to accommodate the wider handles of some of the more decorative silverware. Of course, one doesn't need to use the spacer lid, but it makes sure that there is no remaining food stuck to the spoons. AND, it is made in the USA! Love this machine.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Fedup3 from Lemon! We bought this and had to have 3 deliveries before it was “undamaged”! Upon installation, they found the top rack had a broken left wheel compartment. Once this was repaired, we used the dishwasher once before it no longer worked!!!! Technician came out AGAIN and discovered broken water valve that shorted out the control panel. In this “lockdown “ due to COVID-19, we have been without a dishwasher for weeks AND the parts needed to fix it weren’t available. He will return in a week!! This “new” dishwasher was purchased to replace one we had for 24 years with no problems (not a whirlpool). We will think long and hard before we purchase another Whirlpool product!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Mjs51 from Not as good, We have always bought Whirlpool dishwashers as we like the features offered (I.e silverware basket in door) and they were reliable and did a good job cleaning. This model doesn’t always clean the dishes ( we rinse before loading) and it never fully dries them even with heated drying. There is always steam trapped inside. Our last whirlpool model never did that. This one also seems more flimsy with rack adjustments and locks. We have had this model since Sept. 2018. We have a service call scheduled for 2/22 to replace a missing hing on the upper rack and to see if the vent may be stuck closed causing the steam to stay inside preventing proper drying. My wife says she wishes we just got our old one repaired.

Rated 5 out of 5 by tingotango from Quiet as a Whisper!! Bought this about six weeks ago and love it. Purchased the black stainless color which is easy to keep clean. We usually pre- rinse so use the short (one hour) cycle and the dishes get clean. When on "heat dry" dishes actually come out dry. Make sure to press the start button twice or it won't start. So quiet we don't even notice that it is running. Stainless tub doesn't discolor like our old one which had a white plastic interior. We were skeptical about no latch on the door, but when closed it seals and works fine. The utensil rack inside the door took some getting used to, but we now really like it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Critical from Functional I chose Whirlpool on advice of appliance repairman and have been using it a couple of months now. Our previous washer of a different brand had great features and great cleaning power, but it broke after only a couple of years or so. I miss the power jets on the back of the washer, which this one doesn't have; it doesn't clean pots that well. It also doesn't dry very well, and the utensil basket on the door is ridiculous: it is hard to get the utensils in or out and it holds very little. I added the basket from our previous washer to this one. The fold-down feature is useful on top shelf, and I wish the bottom shelf also had it. Overall, it is okay, but could use some tweaking.
