Rated 2 out of 5 by C.B. from Limited use with door sensor failure. Faults for the door at less than 5 years old. Won’t start. Says to close the door. Welp, it’s completely shut. I am single, so it’s not used much, if at all, on a daily basis. Microwaves should last 10 years and up to 15 on limited use. This is a limited use scenario. Google that. Google will confirm as well as Consumer Reports.

Rated 4 out of 5 by ed02 from 4 years in, so far so good 4 years in, so far so good. Pretty good product, have used many of the program features like Soften Ice Cream earlier tonight. Also like the convection oven, tho the instructions on how to use it are pretty minimal. A couple issues: Unit was replacing an older GE unit, turns out this one was NOT designed to be installed with the door hinge side next to a wall. That is an obvious design flaw (a circular saw w/a diamond blade was involved to get the door open more than a little bit. Less difficult but ongoing: it keeps telling me to Clean or Replace Filters, they're fine / look like new, and have a tendency to fall out when you think they're reinstalled. Hope it lasts the 15 yrs+ the one it replaced did, is a quarter of the way there. Have gotten used to the 'song of the microwave' (tones that play when cook time is up)

Rated 1 out of 5 by Bill from Worst product I ever had. After 2 years all of a sudden the vent stopped sucking. Took the microwave off the wall. Was blowing plenty of air out and could not find out where the air was coming from (definitely not from the stovetop as it was't sucking enough to hold a tissue on high speed. Asked for help from whirlpool and all they told me was they could send a service tech out for $200. to see what part I might need. Will never even consider a whirlpool product of any kind in the future.

Two years after purchase, I started getting codes every time I opened the door. Now, I have to set the clock and open/close the door each time to get it to work. Also, every time I open the door, it acts like there is a short in the door/body connection and I have to do it all over again. It is a nightmare!
