I got the matching washer and dryer. If you do make sure to get a Y shape hose from you cold water. The steam features on both are awesome. I also washed my king size comforter with room to spare.

Rated 2 out of 5 by PLCMAN from Terrible Washer Purchased the washer on 04/12/2020. 1. Had to reset the washer numerous times since it would not power on. 2. The washer has refused to go into the spin cycle at least five times while washing towels. 3. The washer does NOT leave any error codes and turns off the display. 4. The iOS app indicates that the washer has completed it's cycle when the spin cycle has not occurred. 5. Technician is scheduled to arrive on 05/22/2020 to repair the washer. I expected better from Whirlpool and I am not impressed with this washer.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Frankie Lynn from Disappointed The latch broke on the washer when closed that locks it. It’s just hard plastic. This ended up costing me around $1000 for this washer and so far it’s been out of service for almost 4 weeks! I received it on January 19th! Sadly, the company they contract with from my area, ASI Appliance, Inc., delivery has not been able to fix or get the part needed to repair it. I called again yesterday and was told another 21 days!!??! They were also rude to me and customer service was terrible. The plastic part should not break on a $1000 washer and holds you up from using the washer at all! I have never seen anything like!

Rated 1 out of 5 by JANN from It's going back! This machine was delivered today and we are VERY disappointed. Cheap plastic pieces for the softener cover and whatever that other thing is next to it that shoots water out. I bought a floor model at ABT thinking I was getting a bargain. No Care and Use Booklet with it and none available online for model 8120. It goes off balance very easily. We have raised seven children and have always been a faithful Maytag user for all those years. Now that Whirlpool makes them, I find a very inferior product. Cheap plastic pieces for a hard-working machine? To add insult to injury, I am 5'3" tall and need to use a kitchen tongs to get all the small pieces of clothing from the bottom of the machine.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Pjs329 from Will not wash anything bulky consistently Bought this expensive large capacity washer and it gets off balance with full sheet sets, queen sheet sets and anything bulky. Have to stop and start again. Thought the larger capacity would be nice for blankets and throws. It Always gets off balance and I have to start again wasting water. Hate this washing machine!

Rated 4 out of 5 by TAB83 from Happy with our new machine We bought this about three weeks ago. It does a great job. It has great capacity. It's easy to use, once we figure out the features. My only gripe is that the user manuals and documentation are severely lacking. There's not enough info on settings and the whirlpool website doesn't offer any help. Fortunately, we were able to figure out most things on our own. Hopefully it continues to serve us long term.

I am not confident that it cleans well as I have had to wash a full size comforter 3 times to get a tennis ball sized mud spot off of it. Not crazy about the load and go dispenser- I prefer to use powder detergent and there is no single use dispenser. I did try using powder and have tried oxiclean in the tub with the clothes but they come out with wet globs of powder unless I choose the max fill water level. Haven't used the "smart" options from my phone as the app doesn't seem to work. I got this washer at a price match for the discontinued model otherwise I would have been highly disappointed if I paid what they ask. The glass top is already scratched too which I can't figure out how considering it is in a dedicated laundry room? Overall, it looks great, is quiet and is a great capacity but, functionally I am not impressed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by chrissssss from love it but...see below I owned a whirlpool cabrio which I purchased about 3 years ago. That is all it lasted!!! Hope this one lasts a LOT longer. It took a while to learn this machine and the instruction manual did not help very much...I find it hard to do bulky items like a king size blanket and a bathroom rug. Think I have it mastered now. Not sure would recommend.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Gercap from Terribly disappointed I have been a whirlpool customer for 30 years. This machine is such a disappointment. I’ve had it for 10 days and it’s terrible. I hate soap sitting in a dispenser.., that will cause mold. It’s always unbalanced, never had that before. Why do you need WiFi? The pieces are all plastic. Whirlpool should fire their designers and ask customers what features they like. So disappointed!

Rated 5 out of 5 by MelW from Great Washer We've been using this washer for about a month (and also bought the "matching" dryer). We are happy with the purchase. It is easy to use and I does a great job in getting even very soiled clothes clean (we have 2 little kids, so this is necessity). I like the load and go detergent feature, but it does seem like we are going through more detergent. To be fair though, this is a very large capacity washer and we've been doing many heavy duty loads. With smaller loads/normal setting, I have a feeling it would even out with our previous detergent consumption.
