Rated 1 out of 5 by Debbie from Awful product We bought this washer for our park model. We have had it about two years but because it is seasonal used it less than nine months and less than 25 times. Motor board went out and we were told it would cost over $1000. I totally understand the one year LIMITED warranty but you would think a product would last for more than a few washes.

The computer board has to be replaced according the repair person and it is over $400. I thought a warranty would be in place but it is limited to one year. We used it exactly 4 times and loved it but come on Whirlpool. Should you not warranty a $700 item computer for a little longer. Model WFW3090JW 0, Serial # CF02506202. Do you have a solution?

Rated 1 out of 5 by Gee048 from This machine is a lemon I moved in to a brand new condo in Nov 2019 and this washing machine came with the unit. It was brand new. 8 days in, this machine broke and a Whirlpool repairman fixed it. November 2020, it broke again with the repairman replacing the control board. These two fixes were still under warranty and Whirlpool should have details of these. This machine is not heavily used but in April 2023, it broke again, turning on by itself and seem to be in draining mode even without water to drain. I contacted a repairman who diagnosed it and said the 2 control boards will need to be replaced with the cost exceeding the price of a brand new washer. So out to the dump this goes. I advise people to strongly stay away from this model and brand, and any washer that has 2 control boards. Sometimes, simple is better.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Big Arthur from A Disposable Product for the 21st Century We bought this machine 4-years ago. The supplier, Bray and Scarf, would not give us a warranty unless we also purchased a matching dryer. They said this was Whirlpool policy. Regardless, after 4-year it just stopped working. The diagnostic performed by a whirlpool certified technician showed that the control board probably needs replacing. As this isn't made anymore all parts are hard to come by. Apparently the cost of finding, buying and replacing the board will be as much as a new machine. It seems that this is way it is these days. Any machine is good for 3 -5 years, then you throw it away and get another.
