This product is very reliable. We live in an older home and do not have the room for a side-by-side washer and drier. About twenty-five years ago we purchased a Whirlpool stacking washer and drier. The quality of that washer/drier was so excellent that when it was time for a new washer/drier, we purchased another Whirlpool stacking washer/drier and we are very pleased with our purchase. Love my New Washer and Dryer combo ! I live in a condo and my new washer and dryer combo fits perfectly inside the laundry closet. I performs well with a little noise especially when the closet door is close. When buying a new appliance you cannot go wrong with Whirlpool brand. This machine fulfill my expectation and gets the job done without too many complicated instructions and settings. I always trust the name brand. April 6, 2013
Large washer loads and larger dryer loads still fit in the same small space. If larger washer loads, larger dryer loads, and simple design features and apperance weren"t enough, this Whirlpool washer/dryer combo still fits in the same small closet. I didn't think it was possible to get more load space without increasing the overall size. Because the controls are above the dryer, I need a stool to reach, but I am shorter than average. I think this same feature gives me more space in the dryer, also the dryer is lower, therefore it's a tradeoff to the good. April 4, 2013
SUITS OUR NEEDS PERFECTLY. This combination washer-dryer perfectly met our need for space saving in our 960 square foot second home. It easily handles three days of laundry for my wife and me, or a load of sheets and towels. The clothes come out clean and dry. I would recommend it to anyone similarly situated. February 21, 2013
Absolutely Worth the Wait! I decided on this product because it fit the dimensions of where I wanted to place the unit and I really wanted a stackable. It replaced two units, a washer and dryer, from the early 1990s [not Whirlpool brand]. Reading some of these reviews made me nervous. But, since my mother-in-law had a stackable from Whirlpool for a dozen years and still likes it, I decided it would be worth it. It took me a YEAR to save up the cash for it. (Part of this money was saved by drying clothes on the line during the summer months!). I have had the stackable for six months now and can report I am very happy with it. For starters it uses less water and electricity than the old units and frees up space in our house. We have concrete floors and sound is not a problem. In fact, it is not as noisy as the old units (which, in fairness, were at the end of their lifecycle and very noisy). The one adjustment I had to make was getting used to slightly smaller wash loads. That's okay. The added floorspace it worth it. We still prefer to dry our clothes on the line for environmental (& frugality) reasons but this has nothing to do with performance. On that note, it also cleans well if you make your own detergent! I am very pleased with the purchase. It was worth the wait! February 5, 2013
