Top Features

Sensor Cooking

Automatically adjusts time for optimal results.

True Convection Cooking System

True convection cooking uses a rear fan to circulate preheated air over, under and around food so you can bake moist cakes and roast juicy meats. This system roasts up to 30% faster than traditional thermal-bake ovens.

Steam Cooking

Conveniently steams foods such as rice, vegetables and fish with the universal microwave steamer.

Additional Features

AccuWave™ Power System

CleanRelease® interior

The industry’s first silver metallic, non-stick interior requires no special cleaners—a damp cloth or sponge is all that’s needed to remove cooked-on spills and splashes. Now you can clean up all types of splatters quickly and easily.

AccuSimmer® Cycle

Set yourself free from spills, splatters and over boiling when simmering sauces, soups and rice. The Simmer Cook cycle uses its built-in sensor system to quickly bring liquid temperatures to a boil, then quickly reduces the oven's power to a delicate simmer. No cleanup, delicious results.

Kids Menu

It's simple. It's fast. And it helps promote healthy eating habits for the whole family. The Kids Menu is preset with cooking times and power levels for a variety of favorites like pizza and chicken nuggets. And whether it's an adult or adolescent, programming the microwave is child's play. Now after school snacks don't have to be an afternoon hassle.

Hidden Vent

The hidden vent streamlines the appearance of the microwave exterior, making it simpler to wipe clean.

Recessed, Stoppable Glass Turntable

The recessed glass turntable allows you to microwave taller items and can be conveniently stopped with the touch of a button.

4-Speed fan/300 CFM

4 variable fan-speed settings let you match the right amount of ventilation to the dish being prepared.

1,100 Watts Cooking Power

With up to 1,100 watts of cooking power, Whirlpool® microwaves offer the flexibility you need to heat all types of food, from macaroni and cheese to corn on the cob, quickly and easily.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not sorry, but... I'm not sorry I bought this, however there is nothing in the manual on how to work with the convection. When you turn it on it defaults to 4 hours. I have a college degree and can't figure out how to make it run fo 10 minutes to heat my pizza. There was a minor dent in it when I got it. Judging by the location and the good condition of the packing material I assume it left the factory that way. All that said we do like the ability to use convection, the company just needs to take the time to work on drastically improving the operating instructions. I have read several reviews that state this - I just wonder if the company reads them...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best appliace I've ever owned We live in a 35' motorhome. The old convection microwave that was in the motor home died leaving us with no oven at all, no hood vent, no light, no microwave. It was miserable, but we started researching to find the best quality Over The Range Convection Microwave we could find within our budge. We found this unit and compared it to others - hands down this was the absolute best deal. When my husband got it installed we were ecstatic! I've baked bread, used virtually every feature , and just have to say that this one does it all. Favorite feature - the steam/simmer; perfect rice, polenta, grits, veggies. I love the fact that it bakes evenly, and interior cleans easily. The vent fan is really amazing. I love the cooldown feature, the warm & hold, the melt/soften feature, and how beautiful it looks! My husband loves that I can now cook all of our favorite foods perfectly and that makes this passionate cook a very very happy camper! Oh - and it makes perfect pizza using a pizza stone on the round rack!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great overall product We are enjoying the convection/microwave. This is the first time we have had a convection oven. We really like not having to heat up the oven for baking small batches of food. It works well and we are glad we decided to go with the addition of the convection oven. Many thanks for a good product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This microwave has great features with the bonus convection oven. This microwave was a replacement for a Whirlpool Gold® 1.8 cu. ft. Microwave Hood Combination which quit working after 6 years. The added feature of a combination microwave/convection oven has been a joy. Since our children have left our home, the 9" cakes are just the right size for my husband and me. I also convect baked a beef roast successfully. I appreciate being able to bake without heating the house during the hot summer days. My one concern is how the fan blows out the top near the front. I can feel the air waves blowing on me while I am working at the stove or nearby counter. The preset options have changed on this model but were easy to learn and use. It has been a nice addition to our kitchen!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from poor quality and unneeded features Per Whirlpool's suggestion, bought this Model to replace a previous broken gold series microwave (6 yrs old) this January. A little more than one months later, this $500 microwave quit with a burned magnetron, a same issue as the previous one. A lot of talk and time spent to talk. Service people came in and replaced the magnetron and billed $300+ to Whirlpool as it was certainly under warranty. How could it go south so quickly? Research points to the poorly made magnetron part. The OTR of similar type used to have 5 yrs warranty and usually have a life expectancy of 10+yrs. But now....1 yr warranty and mine broke a little more than a month. Poor quality and reliability! This WMH76718 model comes with new steam/roast features which are not quite useful. However, the quick start function is gone. The only highlight is the boosted fan power. Now I am keeping my fingers crossed...I may end up buying additional warranty

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great price point New kitchen remodel, needed a vented over stove microwave and for the price has exceeded expectations. Cleans with paper towels! The steam cycles are perfect.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Totally impressed! We have a single (large), built-in oven in our house. We have found this to be inconvenient when you want to bake / broil multiple items, especially around holidays. We replaced our regular, over the range microwave with this fantastic, large convection / microwave combo. Didn't have to tear up cabinets to add another standard oven and this has a lot more capability and flexibility than a standard oven. Saved a ton of money by avoiding cabinet work and the cost of a standard oven. In fact, we have only used our standard oven to broil in the last month.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good and Bad We have just had this product for several days and the jury is still out. So far my enthusiasm is tempered with the lack of documentation provided with this product. There are many features with this microwave but you have to discover them for yourself. The “Users Guide” is a one fits all guide’ and is useless. All through the “Users Guide” is this comment (on some models). I did not purchase some models, I purchased this one. The powers to be at Whirlpool assume you will catch on sooner or later to the various features and how to use them. We recently purchased a Food Saver and it had better and specific documentation on the features and benefits andrecipes. Whirlpool just wants to sell their product but not provide anything else. Download the “Users Guide” before purchasing this model and see for yourself. I did make a mistake and did not notice there is no grill feature, which we had on our other model, different brand. I will have to wait until this one dies before I can purchase one with that feature.
