Rated 4 out of 5 by 129 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Overall a great refrigerator I looked at and read many reviews before purchasing a refrigerator. This refrigerator was perfect for me. It is a big louder than my last one and I had to get used to keeping my milk and soda bottles on the door instead of on the shelves. I would recommend this to anyone--happy with it. November 21, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great product! Can always count on Whirlpool. I have always tried to buy a Whirlpool whenever possible. They have great products that are reliable. September 22, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Overall, I love it! I love the whole design. Plenty of room for everything! Love the door compartments, frees up so much space on the shelves. LOVE the deli bin under the top shelf! The size is fabulous and bin is very durable. I will say, it does make some pretty strange noises on occasion... but once I looked them up in the trouble shooting guide... they are 'normal'. The only other deficiency that I would say is the temp control in the fruit/veggie bins... is not well controlled and berries go bad quickly. August 17, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by I just wanted a basic refrigerator and this is that. I wanted a basic refrigerator but my husband does not like that he has to bend over to reach everything. September 23, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by The jury is still out on my new frig! Tomorrow Sept 10th. An Ala power serviceman is scheduled to come and repair a broken ice maker in my fridge. This refrigerator is only three months old and the problems have started! I can only hope things get better. Thank You, Bluff September 9, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Strange scraping noise The frig. makes a strange metallic scraping noise when it first starts up. The repairman said it was coolant flowing through the pips. It sounds like 2 pieces of metal scraping to me. September 9, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by this product is ok "light" compartment takes up to much space. can't put tall things in middle. However configured, 1 shelf is too narrow for anything except butter or flat stuff. September 9, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by It does what it is suppose to. So far performance is good, just using it as an extra in the garage. September 3, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by My refrigerator is so quiet and efficient My Whirlpool refrigerator looks gorgeous in my kitchen. The price was right and it hardly makes a sound. My old refrigerator would CLUNK off and on every five minutes. It was an energy eater of gigantic proportions. My new Whirlpool refrigerator has an excellent energy rating and I am seeing a difference in my electric bills. I love the design and interior. The clear bins are awesome. I don't have to guess where I put the lettuce. There is plenty of room for everything to be well organized. The door opens and closes with ease. Whirlpool has produced a refrigerator that would be a proud addition to any kitchen. April 7, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by the features are avarage I would never buy a frig again with the freezer on top as we use the frig 80% of the time; the draws seem cheap plastic and can easily be pulled out by accident August 19, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by ease of accese is it top feature I do miss not having two thermostats instead of one. I am not able to control the temperature separately between freezer & cold box. not cold enough in freezer, too cold in cold box. other than that very satisfied August 13, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by this product has great features this product has a lot of room inside. I like the middle drawer as well as the lower drawers. I also like the shelves in the door. great product. August 19, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by This product has a remarkable amount of space even though it's a smaller fridge. Love the design of the interior. I am very picky about placement of food and beverages in my fridge and the open look with clear shelves and drawers perfectly compliments my placement preferences. All items can be easily located in both fridge and freezer. I love this design over my second fridge which is a bottom freezer design. July 16, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by It's great, very easy to use This is a great frig, you don't have to worry about an ice maker that will BREAK. I love the shelves because they are see through and there is ample space on the door for storing things. Over all a great frig, if you just want a plain ole frig. I love it. July 18, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Lots of space I like how easy this product is to clean. It has a lot of space. I especially like the drawers as I can see what is in them without opening them up. July 16, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Sleek design, quiet operation, hinge change downsides I purchased this refrigerator to replace a unit that was 15 years old and failing (compressor cycled like a jackhammer). This new unit is extremely quiet. The energy savings are dramatic. Beware that changing the hinge may not be as easy as it looks. It took the big box store's delivery guys about 30 minutes—and they had all the right tools. Plan on at least an hour if you do it yourself. And, when you switch the handle, you'll have to cover the hole in the door with a stick-on paper dot. April 7, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Product is good quality for the money PROS •Clear see through shelving and draws •Ample door shelving •Clean sleek overall appearance CONS •No designated space in freezer for ice making/storage (non-automated ice making model) •No designated area for egg storage •Adjusted temperature level higher than manufacturers recommended setting to keep milk and juices sufficiently cold enough and ice cream in freezer frozen. •Model makes quite a bit of unusual noises as well as loud cycling on and off April 23, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by The product has many modern features. This unit replaced a Whirlpool side by side refrigerator which gave my family 29 years of good service. I would have preferred to replace with a similar unit but overall size dictated a different design. The unit performs well keeping food refrigerated and frozen. It would be better if there were more options on shelf locations. Lowering the top shelf all but eliminates storage on the second. I feel a smaller freezer space and larger cool area would serve better. Yes we are disappointed in the noise level. March 13, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by the product was the right size and design to fit in the remodle APPEARS TO BE A GOOD PRODUCT, HAVE NOT HAD LONG ENOUGH TO REALLY KNOW. July 16, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by A good refrigerator with excellent use of space. My wife is tiny (4'7") and our old refrigerator was a side by side. She was afraid that a top and bottom would be difficult for her to handle, but she can reach freezer items in this Whirlpool with ease. The main advantage for me is the use of space - inside and on the doors, it is easy for find things, even with the fridge packed. Bravo to your engineers for their handling of space. It is whisper quiet and I understand that it will cost less to use. April 4, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by This Product is Recommendable! I recently purchased this product, and I like the features, very easy to use, no complications in changing the inside settings. Very spacious to keep everything. Though there is one thing that bothers me- It makes huge noise. The first week, I got scared to death from the loud noise it makes. May be I can have the Retail store technician come and check to see why it make such loud noise. Other than that, I have no complains at all for this product. April 1, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Product meets our basic needs, works well and looks good in our kitchen Have found the fridge difficult to keep leveled, have messed with it multiple times since installation two months ago. the narrow shelves on the freeze door severely limit what can be put there and even though I replaced a fridge of the same size, I cannot keep as much in the freezer due to that. As summary review states, it definitely meets our needs, looks and works well however there were a few small disappointments. April 11, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by One word "Fantastic" I am used to small refrigerators, easier to clean, move & take care of. Until I purchased the above and I have not wished otherwise. I love the elegant look it has, glass shelviing, little nooks & spaces throughout. I chose the color black and it is very easy to keep the front, sides all over clean. It is also easy to move to clean around & under. I would definitely recommend the name "Whirlpool" April 17, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by So far, cooling / freezing wise it is working, but... The plastic drawers (3 of them) are Cr@p. The top most, which spans the width of the refrigerator section falls out of either side of its "slides" every time you pull it out. Its only a matter of time before it breaks completely. I only hope I will be able to get replacement parts, otherwise the already poorly designed interior space, will become even more useless. Not happy with this purchase. I have only owned this appliance 3 months. March 12, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Reliable and energy efficient I bought my previous refridgerator in 1989 or 1990 and it was still running fine in 2013. It never needed repair or maintenance of any kind. It was a Whirlpool. When I decided to purchase a new refridgerator I chose another Whirlpool which is slightly larger and more energy efficient. I stay with well made, reliable products. April 19, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by This product works great with our family This is a great choice to store a lot of food. The big door storage allows us to get our milks and juices out of the top and into the door. The only downfall I have with this unit is the fact that we ordered black and the front is smooth and scratches very very easily. Ours already looks like we have had i for years and we just got it a month ago. April 4, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Value This unit is holding up well in a research environment. The space is well designed and is an improvement over the older model Whirlpool that it replaced. The unit has one quirky issue- occasionally it leaves a puddle on the floor. It is not a large problem in a research lab but in a house with a wooden floor it would be a disaster. It is under warranty and service will be called. However, I was expecting not to deal with any issues so early in the lifespan of the the unit. I still like the unit with the quirky problem September 20, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by withholding judgment Liked the size and design. One of the refrigerator door hinges had no lubricant, so the door made a very loud noise on opening and closing. I think this reflects poor quality control. Has a flimsy piece of cardboard covering the opening on the back, held by screws that ripped the cardboard. Would have preferred plastic or metal instead. April 5, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by This refrigerator was very reliable and looks nice. We had an older model of this same refrigerator for many years and it finally quit working. Because our refrigerator was so reliable and we never had any problems with it, we went out and purchased the same exact model. So happy with it! April 19, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Ok Product Meat and Cheese tray needs to be redesigned. This is a nice looking model overall it is quiet and keeps the food cold but the meat/cheese tray that is under the top shelf is useless it falls off of the rails and falls on the item below, that is enough for me not to buy another model this happens even if you pull it out a little bit just imagine it being full of food it's a mess.
