Rated 5 out of 5 by RobertNC Great Fridge
Excellent features, quiet, single thermostat control works as well as any dual control in refrigerators costing twice as much as this product.
I checked the temperature consistency with a highly accurate thermometer for two weeks. Once the temp control is set for the surrounding conditions, about two days to stabilize with proper setting ( environmental, amount of food in fridge under most scenarios, etc ) the temperature remains at a constant 0 to -2 degrees F in freezer section and a steady 35 to 36 degrees F in fridge section on all shelves from top to bottom.
Good product for the price. I would highly recommend this fridge for folks looking for a good looking basic fridge, who do not require unnecessary bells and whistles.
Like the large butter compartment and the soda can shelf.
The only addition I would like to have had would have been a light in the freezer compartment. We can live just fine without it.
Overall,very satisfied thus far.

Rated 1 out of 5 by HJarocha Do no buy! Irreparable after 2 years.
Do not purchase this fridge! We have had this fridge for only 2 years and it already needs to be replaced with a brand new one. I started to notice the items in the freezer becoming unthawed and that the air coming out was only cool, not frozen. Soon after the refrigerator items began getting warmer and warmer and all the food in the fridge spoiled. We called a mechanic to come look at the problem and he said the evaporator system was leaking and it is a $700-$800 fix! That is almost as much as the fridge itself costs! This is NOT worth fixing and I am very disappointed. And because there is only a 1 year warranty, there is "nothing Whirlpool can do about it."
In my opinion, it is UNACCEPTABLE for a fridge to only last 2 years! This is a big expense and major appliance so there is no way it should need to be replaced after 2 years. I will have a very hard time every purchasing a Whirlpool appliance after this. Stay away from this fridge.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Muddy Our old Whirlpool frige was a better product...
Our new Whirlpool refrigerator seems junky compared to our last one, which lasted 20 years and was more solidly built, inside and out. The new one creaks when it's opened and closed, despite my leveling it. The shelves and trays, especially the door ones, are thin and cheaply made, compared to the old one. The inside arrangement is less "user friendly." There is a little shelf on the bottom of the door that is barely accessible. The lighting is poorer inside; there is none in the freezer, as our old one had. It didn't even come with ice trays, as the old one did. There is only one temperature control for both frige and freezer; our old one had separate controls. The "kick plate," or whatever it's called, on the bottom, is thin and looks cheesy. In fact, the entire outside looks "cheap" compared to our old one.
It does run quietly, which is nice.

Rated 2 out of 5 by ruthalyss51 I am not happy with this refrigerator
This is the worst refrigerator I have ever owned, and that covers over 60 years. The drawers are not easy to use, but the worst area is the freezer. Some of the items I moved into this when I bought it are okay, but most of them are as hard as bricks, something I have never experienced before. I had always been able to extract portions of vegetables, for instance, which I have to do frequently since I live alone; now there are times when I have to literally whack the package with a mallet to loosen the ingredients enough to extract the amount I need. The refrigerator seems cheaply constructed and shortly after it was installed water leaked onto the floor and I had to call the repair people to send someone to fix the problem. The repairman also changed the freezer temperature when I told him what was happening to the frozen food. It worked on a couple of things but I'm still having trouble. No, I would definitely not recommend this model and I would love to be able to trade this in on something that works properly.

Rated 3 out of 5 by DavisCab For the price this product fits the bill.
This refrigerator replaced a Kelvinator refrigerator my parent had in the 1950s, before replacing it with a GE refrigerator.
The price was the main deciding point, but it is great to have so much storage without the new one taking too much more space.
The on complaint we have is that the handle for freezer compartment is a head banger when reaching in for something on the top shelf for lower compartment. Cleans up nicely and in the 60 days it ran this summer there was no ice buil up in the freezer.
Space and budget limitations were the deciding factors and as a result we very pleased with the product other that the one design issue. If you are looking for a lot of bells and whistles this is not the unit for you. You pay for what you get ans we were pleasantly surprised.

Rated 3 out of 5 by cthydhl14 A decent basic fridge
To be honest, this was not the fridge I wanted but the one that would fit into the opening I had in my kitchen.
Pros: It looks nice and keeps things cold.
Cons: Hate the configuration of the shelves and do not like keeping milk and heavy things in the door. The sight line is terrible. When I open it I have to bend to see what is on the top and middle shelves.
This would be an awesome second fridge to have in my basement for holiday extras and beer and pop, but for a mom with 8 kids, this is not the fridge I want in my kitchen.

Rated 1 out of 5 by TonyNMe97 Big disappointment
Wanted just a basic fridge/freezer with lots of storage space. This model provides that, but product is cheaply made. Quality is a big step down from previous fridge by Whirlpool affiliate that lasted 18 years. Deli drawer often comes off tracks and storage unit for cans in the door is constantly sliding forward. Drawers and plastic storage bins on door are cheap materials. After just 3 months had to have thermostat replaced as ice cream not hard even at highest temp setting; still not happy with temps, especially in freezer compartment. Will never buy another with only 1 control for both compartments. Not sure there's anything else out there that would be better, but this purchase is a definite disappointment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Rachel7 The refrigerator is sleek, elegant and stylish!
I love this refrigerator. it has nice wide shelves in the door to hold a gallon of milk. It has a great place for eggs. There is plenty of room for produce in the bottom drawers. Produce stays fresh forever with the humidity controls. This is the best refrigerator ever! I love the sleek curved front. It adds so much elegance to the design. Love, love, love this refrigerator.
