Easy install. Excellent features. We really like the light energy-saving and timer features. Looks great in the wife's new kitchen.

Absolutely no complaints! Would highly recommend it. It is a plus that it is so pretty! I purchased the full set (stove, microwave hood, dishwasher and side by side, in white ice) for its looks and totally love it all. The set is so much better than the one I had when I moved in here.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Earther This product is quiet and has great features
The Whirlpool 2.0 cu ft Microwave Hood combination with Auto Adapt Fan is great. The microwave is fairly quiet while it is cooking. The indicator that food is done is pleasingly quiet. The fan is not too noisy, even on the highest level, and it does draw out smells and moisture from the stove. I have only begun to experiment with all of the microwave features. So far, it defrosts meats and fish really well, melts cheeses well, and pops a bag of popcorn down to the last kernel. These are features in addition to the regular functions for cooking on high with which I have been pleased. At 2.0 cu. ft., this microwave is a good size too. I have yet to use the rack to enable me to cook or keep multiple items warm. The inside and outside are easy to clean. I would definitely recommend this product. I was so pleasantly surprised with it as it is so much better than the fairly new microwave hood combination that was in my place when I moved in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by beachbag4 My needs are met
First I'll say I haven't used each function yet, but I am very impressed overall so far. The person before me states the light level is poor, but I do not agree. The light level is what I need and I have no complaints. I think sometimes kitchens are set up in that there isn't sufficient lighting to begin with. Why would you expect a microwave light to compensate for that? When the microwave is operating it is quiet. I am impressed with the fan, quiet and appears to be strong. I was concerned about the heat coming off my gas range but so far the auto sensor fan has not come on, so now I just wait and see if it does when I have more than two of my large burners on. The interior is sleek and nice to see instead of the standard white. I spent considerable time researching what is out there to replace my GE that died after almost 11 years, and found this one had all the features and style I was looking for.

I bought this microwave to match our recent Whirlpool white ice refrigerator purchase. We're in the process of updating appliances and I really love the silver trim on white appearance.
*Contemporary, sleek design and looks nice in the kitchen.
*White Ice - Silver handles and trim on white
*Low price point
*Features and performance match the low price point. This is not a high end product thought it works fine.
*No express cook button
*Panel is not intuitive and it takes too many steps to complete a task, "reheat" for example.
*Sensor cooking is hit or miss. Sometimes food comes out too cold, sometimes too hot, and sometimes just right.
*Sorry, but I really dislike the chime that tells you your food is ready.
*A minor irritation but the digital clock displays "am" or "pm" and can't be turned off. It's unnecessary and just seems like clutter in an otherwise sleek design.
Overall, it looks great and cooks your food but I would have preferred a higher end, white ice microwave.

This microwave, WMH53520AB, is an excellent value. I did a lot of research both online and at brick and mortar stores. For quality, just about everything online pointed towards LG/Kenmore or Samsung. However, when I went to the stores and actually saw the microwaves I came to a different conclusion. The Whirlpool appeared more "solid" to me. I was a little nervous because reviewers of the previous model said it was noisy. I think this new model is very quiet and the range vent fan is less noisy than the 18 year old top of the line GE it replaced.
One small detail that impressed me was the lamination of the operating instructions sheet. However, this microwave is so easy to use, I have not needed to look at the instructions yet! I have only had it a couple of days and so am looking forward to trying all the functions. If it turns out to be durable as well, I will be completely satisfied with this purchase.
Two minor criticisms: 1. My husband thinks the interior light could be brighter. 2. If you stand near the microwave there is a soft intermittent rattling sound coming from the turntable as it turns. It almost sounds like corn popping. Evidently the turntable support ring prevents the glass turntable from sitting flush on top of the driver (the middle piece that turns). As I said, very minor.

We have been dying to upgrade our appliances to stainless steel so when our previous one died, we did a lot of research for a new one. It had all the great features our last one did with many new. It has sensor cooking - it may take a little longer to heat things if you use it (rather than just punching in cook times) but the food is heated equally all the way through. If we are in a rush, we just punch in the time. I like the sound options as the sound is a little loud and musical - we were able to completely turn the sound off. It is beautiful and looks very nice. Would definitely recommend and would buy it again.

The microwave oven has come pretty much as far as it can be taken. This model senses the type, size and temperature of food and adjusts the power and time settings accordingly. The technology is quite beyond me but they work well considering I used to guess how long to reheat or defrost and almost always used the uppermost power setting. Haven't used every preset sensing setting yet but the dinner plate setting does just fine for my needs. The top front metal shows signs of bending, deforming a perfectly flat look into a fun house mirror, save for that the unit is very attractive and was easy to install.
