Rated 4 out of 5 by from More than satisfied. Very pleased with the performance and quality of this microwave. Having had a bad experience with the carousel tipping and spilling hot liquid on another microwave, I found this carousel to be very stable and safe. What was pleasantly surprising was the quietness of the unit. The first time that I used it, I thought that it had stopped working and had to check and see for myself that it hadn't. The sensor cooking feature saves a lot of guess work. My only complaint is with the stiffness of the door release button which can be a little difficult to depress.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, no nonsense microwave This is a great product. It's not loaded with unnecessary features, so it's easy to use and easy to set the time. It's well designed and easy to clean and the turn table is easily removed to access underneath. It's basic styling compliments a modernized kitchen and adds a touch of class in a small apartment. It is also remarkably quiet compared to other microwave ovens I've used. Great buy for the price. Some who have purchased this oven find that the unit slides when opening the door. I put a piece of double sided tape under the feet and it hasn't moved since I installed the oven. 10/10, would purchase again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Meets expectations This is a pretty standard microwave oven. It is bigger than it looks and I like the space. It's only a 1000-wat oven, though, not a 1100 or 1200 so it doesn't meet the recommended guidelines for heating many of the frozen foods I buy at the grocery store. I have only had it a few weeks, but so far it has been reliable, quiet, easy to clean, and easy to use. The sensor cook feature hasn't been that useful to me. It requires that you cover the food -- but not all the way -- and even when you follow the instructions for that, it seems to cook the food way too long. Maybe that's just a matter of learning how to use it properly. The other cooking modes work fine. Overall I'm satisfied with my purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Missing a convenience I like this microwave and looked at many models before I made a decision. The only reason that I didn't give it all five stars is because of the cord. I was very disappointed that the cord was so short and that created a big problem for us. I was even more disappointed that Whirlpool's solution is to just call an electrician to add an additional outlet. That would cost more than the microwave. We have really liked Whirlpool and our refrigerator, washer and dryer are Whirlpool and we are looking for a freezer now. I am disappointed at Whirlpools attitude about the cord when they could have given us a few more inches. May look at other brands of freezers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Whirlpool makes a good microwave I had a Whirlpool in the past and was very pleased with it so I finally got this one (had to order it-it was not in the stores) after trying other brands. It was superior to others in its class but not as good as my old Whirlpool. It performs well and I like the 30 second warm up. The legs do not make black marks on my counters like others brands I had tried. Setting the clock is a little more complicated than the old one (have to hit clock button twice to set clock). Also, the older Whirlpool had simpler features for warming up soup, pizza, plate of food. Now I just use the sensor selection and keep checking it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A good microwave I have had this microwave for a year and so far it has been very good. It has sensor cooking which is supposed to know how much cook time is needed based on the weight. More often that not it has been accurate. Minor Annoyances - The film that is on the top of the button peels off within a month or two. Not a bad thing, just an annoyance. The button to open the microwave door is pretty sturdy, so I have to hold the microwave with my other hand to open it..more effort than I have used with other microwaves..again not a big will be surprised the first few times you use your thumb to push down and it doesnt open. Overall a good buy and I would recommend this product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This microwave has great one touch features. I waited two weeks for this microwave to arrive to the store and it was worth the wait even though I could have chosen something else. I wanted this brand since it has been the number one brand in all my prior appliance purchases and needed the 1.1 cu ft microwave because of space. The one touch features attracted me and it makes cooking and reheating so much easier. I wanted a silent audible sound and the door takes a good push of the button to open, but all the other features this unit has makes up for it. Great heating for a smaller oven.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Compact, Efficient, Quiet The first thing I noticed about this microwave was how much quieter it is than the 13-year-old unit (a different brand) that it replaced. I can now hear the TV in the living room when the microwave is operating! I replaced a 2.0 cu.ft. unit with this 1.1 cu.ft. Whirlpool, and am very satisfied with a smaller unit: it takes up less space on the countertop, but cooks and warms everything that I need. A major consumer magazine rates Whirlpool microwaves as highly reliable - that influenced my choice, too. I'd recommend it.
