EasyView™ Extra-Large Oven Window

Split Rack

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 21 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 Great except Aqua-Lift doesn't work Product was purchased about seven months ago. It has many nice features, including: 1)Induction range- love, love, love the induction range. Boiling water in seconds. Great for busy families on the go. It's much easier to control the heat as well. You can fry on your stove-top without the meat or poultry turning rubbery. Everything is nicely brown and tender. Also, it is much safer than electric or gas, as only pans conduct the heat. You can set a pot holder or towel right on the cooktop with no concern about fires. Just take a magnet with you when shopping for cookware. Easy to find induction cookware at your local discount store. 2)Convection oven- everything cooks quickly and evenly, no matter which oven rack you use. Also, the oven cavity is huge! We cooked two nine pound turkey breasts on the bottom shelf, and there was still plenty of room remaining for side dishes on Thanksgiving day. 3)Control keypad- Looks modern, and no yucky knobs to clean. 4)Warming drawer- dinner rolls and other dishes which were prepared earlier stayed nice and toasty until supper time. Now, here is the con. The Aqua Lift Technology doesn't work. An apple pie boiled over the cookie sheet, and now the oven has black spots that won't come out. A "Magic Eraser" did nothing to remove the cooked-on food, nor did running the Aqua-Lift cleaning cycle several times with distilled water as instructed. It says in the instructions that harsh oven cleaners will damage the finish, so I don't know how to remove black spots on the bottom of the oven. I tried using some of the Affresh cooktop cleaner that came with the product, and that made a spot on the bottom. I hate having spots on the bottom of my oven! Grrrr! November 30, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Induction is fantastic if you are looking for a range or cook top Induction is King Only issue I see is you will probably have to purchase some new pots and pans. As you shop out brands things to look for that you cannot see on the internet is the "cook top surface" I changed my decision to this Whirlpool unit when I saw the floor display next to the other brand it was a deal maker for me. I strongly suggest seeing the units on the floor display and ask alot of questions. Also look at burner size and placements on the cook top make sure you like the orientation. I also found the extended warranty from the mfg was better than the one the dealer offers. pay attention I found that the $ was very close but the factory warranty covers "electrical, mechanical, and functional" issues the dealer leave out the "functional". Convection oven plenty big @ 6.2cf work good we purchased this unit just before thanksgiving and the oven works great. I will follow up with a review in 6-months to re-review if any issues December 30, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Love Induction cooking I am so happy with the cooktop. I love induction cooking. The oven seems to cook just fine. My last oven cooked very hot and this one maybe a little cooler. So I have had to add a minute or two to recommended baking times. No big problem. I was little disappointed in a couple of areas. The area around the cooking surface is black and I know this is a minor thing except all of our other new whirlpool appliances have gray sides or accents so this is really the only black I have on the appliances. Again not major just odd. The other thing is the function buttons on the oven are not touch screen and you really have to push hard on the buttons. The cooktop has the touch screen so it's just odd and kinda cheap that they wouldn't have them the same. Induction ranges are quite expensive and whirlpool is among the lowest price so I guess these shortcuts are to be expected. The noises the cooktop make are different but I have not found them objectionable at all. It clicks and hums as the magnets heat up but it doesn't bother me. The one major thing I love is the temp control and also no more scraping the cooktop to keep it clean like our last range. Nothing gets burned to the surface. I accidentally left a sticker on the bottom of a new pan and added water and set it to boil to test it to make sure it worked on the top and I boiled the water for about 1minute and then removed the pot, poured out the water a noticed the sticker. It wasn't burned at all! It even peeled off easily. This was cool. So I would def buy again. I just would love to see some minor design changes. April 12, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Read before purchase If you are new to induction, download the owner's manual and read the care instructions to ensure you want to commit to this range top. It is beautifully sleet, no knobs. BUT, to keep it pristine, you can't drip even water on the top or it may burn it and stain Stirring big pots of food can easily grind against the top causing scratches no matter how careful you want to be. It is like having a new puppy to care for. And what is with keeping the oven door open 6 inches while broiling? I wanted to reduce heat radiating into the kitchen and broiling is a nightmare. Really looks great though. March 28, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Loving the induction stovetop! I am amazed by this induction cooktop. Turn it on, it's hot. Turn it off, it's not! Boils water so fast! Simmer function is great...doesn't even scorch scrambled eggs. I really love this cooktop. And it wipes up so easily. I had no trouble finding cookware as my Macy's Tools of the Trade pots work just fine. I don't notice much noise with the cooktop as others mentioned. The oven is very accurate. IT DOES take the full 15 min. to preheat which takes some getting used to. But it bakes like a dream. My canned biscuits get golden brown in 14 min. just like it says on the can. No guesswork! I am learning to use the convection feature... Not really comfortable with it yet. so can't really review it one way or the other. This is my first convection stove. I am hoping it will save me time with my holiday cookies and pies. November 22, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by The product has great eatures and is easy to use after a while. The only problem is the user manual, it must have been written by an engineer who is totally fimilar with stove. manuals should be write for users that have no idea how it works an should go step by step with illiutrations December 24, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Is not self-cleaning I really love everything about this induction range except the Aqua Lift oven cleaning method. It does not clean the oven at all. It basically is like the old ovens that you manually clean. That's a real deal breaker. You can't even use oven cleaner, it's just good old fashioned get down on your knees and use your own elbow grease to clean. No way am I going to do this. I traded this model in for one that as the REAL self-clean cycle. I have yet to receive it so can't say whether it will self-clean as described. November 12, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by This product exceeded my expectations! As a lover of gas, I have been researching this electric option for almost a year. When I had had it with my builder grade stove, imade the leap to induction, and haven't regretted it in the least. I was looking at some of the expensive brands, but decided theWhilpool had the same BTUs and features as some of the elite stoves. The placement of the burners, and the control panel are functional and easily monitored. Having the ability to set a timer for each burner was an added bonus, especially for times when I am multitasking! Excellent product! Thank you to their et cooks who must have designed this!
