Rated 5 out of 5 by Bhague Great Product!!
We recently replaced our JennAire washer with this one. We love the design which has a larger capacity because the silverware rack is on the door. Because if this we are running it less often.
Overall an excellent unit and I would highly recommend it to others!!

Overall the product is meeting out expectations. the product is larger and sits closer to the floor than our previous so it takes some time getting use to reaching lower to load and unload.

love this dishwasher, only complaint is the silverware basket is a little difficult to use when loading a bunch of things at one time. a little noisy, but sure beats my old one.!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Fritz01 This diswasher is incredibly quiet. You have to check to see if it is actually going!
When we first used this dishwasher we were disappointed for numerous reasons. First getting glasses, cups and bowls into a logical placement. Next the Cascade product that came with the machine did not dissolve good and left residue everywhere, and the dishes did not look or feel clean at all. We tried different detergent products until we discovered Finish. Works a terrific with this machine. We also discovered that care must be used when putting silverware in the rack. DO NOT put anything tall in the basket in front of the detergent dispenser. It blocks the flow of water to the dispenser. We now load the short silverware such as spoons and forks on that end, and it works great. It is still difficult at times to load the top rack with bowls, cups and glasses, but that is fine with us do to the cleaning ability of this machine, and the quietness is a joy to not listen to.

Very happy with this purchase, works very well, very quiet, looks great. Controls are a little bit un-intuitive, take some getting use to, especially power on/pause.

Rated 5 out of 5 by pcklhd Great Product Except for Silverware Tray
This is a great product, however, the silverware tray is a pain to use. It will not easily sit on the counter top when you are putting away your flatware.

Rated 4 out of 5 by gmamcq Looks great, works great.
Only problem is the silverware basket gets dislodged easily from the door and pops open. Then it has to be emptied, closed again and re-attached to the door.

Rated 5 out of 5 by whrlplfan1 Love everything except needing to use rinse aid
I researched dishwashers before purchasing this model and I have not been disappointed. I like the choice of features although I generally just select "sensor" and let the machine determine what cycle needs to be used, as it likely knows better than me! I like how it looks and the fact the controls are hidden on the top. The dishes come out nice and clean. The best part is that it really is quiet. My old dishwasher sounded like a freight train compared to this one.
The only thing I wish was different is the fact that you must add rinse aid otherwise the dishes won't dry well, hardly at all in fact. While I had seen this complaint I still just had to try to not use it but quickly gave in. While it is not a huge deal, I would prefer not to remember to have another thing to remember to fill up.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Bill1072 This is a good looking product, presents a quality designer image.
We sought out this product and must say we feel a bit disappointed.
The product does not hold as many items and is very difficult to load. We clean items off prior to loading and still often items are not fully cleaned, residue remains after the wash/dry cycle. The utensil loading box in the door design at first plush looks like a smart idea, but does not work well. It is difficult to load, and items often have residue left on them after the cleaning / drying cycles have been completed.
We cannot use the economy cycles as things do not get cleans even after prewashing before we load. The machine is lauder with full power cleaning cycling.
Being candid We must conclude we are disappointed with the product. Possible we got a machine that just does not work properly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by HappyPatty I agonized over this decision, but I made the right choice
This dishwasher gets my dishes cleaner and drier than my old dishwasher. It is much quieter too. The front of the stainless door does show fingerprints, but that's a small price to pay for the cleaner, drier interior! Even though a load takes about two hours, it is so quiet we can be watching TV a few feet away with no problem. I saved my silverware holder from my old dishwasher and place it on the tines of the new one. I also like the "anywhere" silverware holder that comes with this dishwasher. It can be clamped to the inside of the door and saves space. It is so roomy inside that I can use both silverware holders which is important to me. I have lots of silverware, and now they are not so crowded together and they get cleaner. This dishwasher matches my 7-year old stainless Whilrpool refrigerator which has not had a single problem and still works like new.

Rated 5 out of 5 by rlwm This product has great features
This dishwasher is easy to use and produces excellent results. I like the sleek lines and the fact that the control panel is not visible when the unit is closed. There are many wash cycle options, and the stainless steel interior contributes to the extremely quiet operation and the thorough heat-drying of the dishes. The only shortcoming, in my opinion, is the size of the utensil rack (removable; located on the door). While I can fit many more dishes into the main lower rack because of the utensil rack's location, it is rather narrow and doesn't hold as many utensils as my previous dishwasher. Since the pros most definitely outweigh the con, I am very pleased with my choice of dishwasher. I think you will be, too!

Rated 3 out of 5 by S2014 It's good but.....
It's a good dishwasher but I think I like my old Whirlpool better. Our old machine was beginning to die (over 10 years old and I do a LOT of cooking/washing) so we went in search of a new unit. I stuck with Whirlpool since I like the fact that there is the option to put the silverware tray in the door and not just on the bottom rack. My daughter has a food allergy and I need to make sure that all dishes/pots and silverware get a chance to be cleaned and need the most space in the actual machine SO having the silverware on the door leaves space in the tub.
I got a stainless steel tub to prevent gunk build-up and bacteria growth (and also it just looks nice and shiny!) and was very excited to get this installed.
Comparing this machine to my older version...there are pluses and minuses and sadly the minuses win out.
Pluses: Stainless tub. The operation is VERY quiet. I can hardly hear it running which is nice at night. and now the minuses....
Minuses: The rack configuration is screwy. The tines are shaped oddly so the top rack barely holds our plastic containers or plastic drinking cups. The tines are curved at an odd angle so to try to get smaller fruit bowls to stand up so that you can line them up in a row is impossible. The placement of the wheels (that allow the top rack to slide in and out) bump out on the inside of the rack and this prevents you from being able to line your glasses up in a row. (you have to skip the space around the wheel so you can't put a glass there) The top rack has it's issues but they are nothing compared to the bottom rack. I miss my old configuration with tines that would drop down or up to allow me to configure space as needed. The rows are close together (don't know if they wanted to add more like the airlines) and my dishes barely have space in-between. The section on one side that use to hold my 9x13 pyrex dish is gone so now it's all about juggling where to put things so they stand a chance of getting clean. Not liking the bottom rack at ALL!
The controls are fine. I do miss my choice of delay times (old was 2-4-8... this one is just 4) but there are still plenty of wash cycle options and choices. I do like that the buttons are hidden when the door is closed but am still trying to get used to having to guess where my dishwasher is in the cleaning cycle. Hard to see the indicator lights.
All in all... if I had to do it all again, I think that I would look around more and make decisions based more on where the silverware tray is located. This is not my favorite appliance....but it's here to stay until it breaks beyond repair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by TrailChick76 So Quiet!
Beautiful sleek look, that is nice, but the cleaning power is amazing! I have been using this dishwasher for 5 months and it has yet to produce anything but spotlessly clean dishes! Caked-on food...cheese, you name it, gone. And it is so quiet! I don't even now it is running!

Rated 5 out of 5 by ginbob Does great job and sooo quiet!!!!! Love it :)
I can't believe how quiet this washer is. I have to actually get up and go into kitchen to check and see if the cycle is finished!!! Very happy with its operation and the features. The only thing I am unhappy with is where the handle attaches to the front of the washer, crumbs get wedged in between where the handle actually meets the door. Not crazy about that. Perhaps they didn't tighten it enough. Will have to look into that one. But overall would buy this model again and would definitely recommend to others.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Stevedjfkgfkgkg Don't Like This Product
I don't like this product and I wouldn't recommend it. The hidden buttons seem great at first, but then I never know if the dishes inside are clean or dirty. The clean button rarely goes off. I have washed the same dishes on more than one occasion. The machine is so quiet that you often do not notice it is on. I have opened a half washed load on a few occasions. The filter gets clogged pretty easily and then the inside of the unit smells. It means that you have to wash each dish thoroughly before putting them in. To me that defeats the purpose of having a dishwasher. If you don't use rinse aid, your dishes will be soaked when the cleaning process is over.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kady10 Pleased w/performance not so pleased with silver basket design
We are pleased with the cleaning power & sound level of the new dishwasher BUT we are quite unhappy with the silver basket - our silver handles are too large to fit in the slots. Don't like the basket on the door so I use it standing in front of bottom drawer because if you lower door all the way down, silver slides out of basket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by bigwill Great overall value
Now having the dishwasher for six weeks, I have to say it is a solid purchase. Having did much research with other major dishwasher brands with comparable features, this model came out on top. The unit is well built and eventhough my other appliances are another brand, the stainless steel and pull down handle with the hidden controls blends in very nicely. After experimenting with the different modes I found that the eco wash and eco dry were the most queitest and the most efficient of the choices. You have to be right next to it to know it's on. The silverware basket is a little on the thin side, but have had no problems loading. We have a water softener but I still highly recommend using the rinse agent as suggested. It makes the stainless steel tub come out shiney and more importantly dry. By the way as with all stainless appliances keep the stainless steel cleaner handy. There will smudges and fingerprints

Rated 5 out of 5 by Donna1453 Excellent
I had a Bosch dishwasher for 15 years and was hesitatant to buy a Whirlpool. After reading alot of reviews and speaking to the salesman I decided to go with this model. While reading the reviews the one thing that kept coming up as a negative was the utensil holder. I still bought it but I do agree the utensil holder is a bit awkward. It falls off easy and takes a few times to get back on the little hooks that hold it on, but you can move it around and put it in different places in the dishwasher. That is the ONLY negative about this dishwasher. It washer excellent, my dishes come out so clean I do not have to pre wash before loading it. I highly recommend this dishwasher.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ramzo77 Great Reliable
Purchased this dishwasher in 2012 after going through tens of other dishwashers. There weren't many reviews at the time. What initially caught my attention was the design. Simple, stylish and elegant. I purchased the white exterior with the brushed aluminum/stainless handle. It looks great! My next worry was performance and once installed at home, that worry became a past memory that i never look back on. It has great performance - sound is a bit loud even though i went with the stainless interior (was told it's quieter) - but that doens't worry me much - at least i know it's doing something. The interior design is very good - love the space saving idea by placing the utensil bin on the door - it really is ingenius.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Chuck1941 Just love it...Quiet, efficient, easy to load
We moved to our new ranch town home in March, after updating the Kitchen and other areas too. We chose Whirlpool for the dishwasher, microwave and range. All are in the stainless steel design.
For the last 20 some years in our old place we had a very noisy, hard to load outdated dishwasher. Our new Whirlpool is quiet, so quiet, in fact, that one has to put their hand on the door to make sure it started! The cycle options are well thought out. We like the controls on the top of the door, so we can choose the cycle standing up. And best of all, it does a great job.
We couldn't be happier!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Arlingtonian It's quiet!
I recently purchased the Whirlpool stainless steel dishwasher and love it, mostly because it is so quiet! I can actually carry on a conversation in the kitchen while the dishwasher is running.
It is large and easy to arrange dishes in and has the option of lowering the level of the top rack to hold larger items or for raising it to place tall items in the bottom rack. The flatware rack is on the door and easy to remove when the wash is done. There is top for this rack for you to neatly arrange flatware so the items don't touch each other but I haven't used it. On the top rack, there is a small tray-type piece that can fold down over smaller items. I use that for holding utensils that are too big for the flatware basket--whisks, for example.
There are many options for washing but I choose the Eco options--a longer wash and dry--that are more environmentally friendly.
I got the version that has the buttons on the top of the door, that hide when the door is closed. This makes the dishwasher very sleek, with clean lines. Its handle matches the other Whirlpool appliances I got.
And, best of all, this dishwasher is very quiet! I have to put my ear up to it to try to figure out if it's running.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Franco111 Buy this dishwasher, you will not regret it!!
I love my dishwasher. The product design is impeccable. The only thing visible on the front of the unit is the handle and the Whirlpool emblem The stainless steel interior is beautiful. I was not aware that a dishwasher could run as quietly as this unit does. The overnight cycle is an awesome feature for energy savings, I use it all the time. On a final note, my dishes have never been as spotless and sparkling clean. I highly recommend this Whirpool Gold Series dishwasher.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Greenthumb Incredibly quiet with very good performance
This is a great dishwasher. The door top controls bring a clean, uncluttered look in the kitchen. It gets the dishes clean and is incredibly quiet in operation. There are dishwashers that might be quieter numerically, but anything quieter wouldn't really be noticeable. A change from our last dishwasher that I really appreciate is fewer rack choices. You may think more choices is good, but it comes at the cost of little plastic clips to break and get lost, release latches that get caught on a glass being put in the dishwahser so one side of the rack falls down when you don't want it to. This one is simpler and still plenty flexible for loading. In this case a simple design in an improvement. I'll close this as I opened it - this is a great dishwasher!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Doc5 This product has balanced excellence
Whirlpool has hit a home run with this dishwasher! Several machines we considered excelled with one or two features: quiet operation, ease of use, or technical innovation. My experience with this Gold Series Whirlpool has demonstrated its BALANCED EXCELLENCE. It has it all. Ease of use is not gained at the expense of maximum flexibility--choose the cycle you need to match the size and soil of your load of plates and pans. And in choosing you know ahead of time that ease of setting and functional adaptability have not been traded for poor build quality and short life. This dishwasher replaced a trouble-free Whirlpool that served our family for twenty years. From what I've seen so far, this Gold Series will equal or better that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Patty72 I know dishwashers and this one is great.
12 years - 3 dishwashers. Not something to be desired. Finally this dishwasher has solved the problems of the others! I have an irregular height counter and this dishwasher fits! Love the stainless steel which I could not get before. Dishes are very clean and it's quiet. Love that when trying to talk in the kitchen. Overall I am very satisfied and pleased that I was able to get this product at my local kitchen store rather than a big box store. Plus the dishwasher was made in Clyde, Ohio which is only about 25 miles from my house. And best if all, easy controls to use. I like to shop locally and am pleased that Whirlpool is making that possible.

Rated 2 out of 5 by honesteval Water stains that can't be removed
I don't think I have ever written a review for a product, but this dishwasher has inspired me to do so. I researched dishwashers for weeks before I bought this. The stainless steel design is awful. You can push the front of the dishwasher and it will indent. It feels cheap. The worst quality is the water streaks that I can't get rid of. The stainless steel actually "stains" which is a daily curse. I can't get rid of the water streaks with any cleaner. I really feel duped with this purchase because I spend so much time trying to clean the water stains.

We are very pleased with our 'new' Whirlpool dishwasher and the price is so reasonable. It's beautiful ... We can't believe how quite it runs ... We never had a dishwasher clean our dishes so well. We have always been pleased with Whirlpool appliances and plan to buy ONLY Whirlpool appliances in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Trevor01 Super super quiet!
This is one quiet dishwasher. Ill be honest had this model not been on sale when we purchased our appliance package I would not have bought it but now that we have it I will say that I would have spent the extra money had I needed to or known how quiet this unit is. It cleans well and the silver wear basket in the door does save space. It takes some getting use to loading because it has so many options to move racks and adjustments I'm not yet sure what works best I have never had these features before its pretty cool! All and all no complaints the door is pretty low which makes loading the silver wear basket kinda hard but it's not a deal breaker by any means
