Rated 2.5 out of 5 by 31 reviewers.
Rated 1 out of 5 by This microwave is horrible. I moved in on 04-30-2010. I have the same problem with the magtrometer. We received the microwave withour housing developer. The developer used all whirlpool products. The microwave is awful. Within the first few months, the magtrometer had to be replaced. A few months later the directional thingy burned out. Now, the microwave has to be replaced. The extended warranty does not cover full replacement. They offer a deprecated cost. In this case, they offer 329.00 for a 439.00 or so microwave. I am not happy. Run very fast from this product! Oh, and do get me started on the beep. and reminder beeps - even when you are only using the Timer! BTW, I have an Emerson that I purchased in 1995 that has been used continuously, and it is still working. January 23, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Stopped Heating after 1 Year Microwave suddenly stopped heating after 1 year. Turns on and spins fine. In doing research, this appears to be a problem with many new homeowners with inverters/magnatrons dying. Going to cost me over $150 to get it repaired since the warranty is only 1 year, and it died a couple weeks after warranty expired. Strongly encourage doing research into reviews only first for the model number before pulling the trigger on this. December 27, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by Broke after 18 months I wish I had read all these reviews before buying this microwave. Had it for only 18 months and it started putting up the F7 error code. I'm debating if I want to spend any money at all to fix it based on how many people have had the same problems over and over after it was supposedly fixed. We have an entire house full of Whirlpool products and love them, but I can not express how strongly dissatisfied I am with this one. If Whirlpool doesn't realize that they have a problem here and make things right, I'll never buy another product of theirs. March 26, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Magnatron went out 1 month out of Warranty. We switched all of our appliances to Whirlpool Stainless. Microwave looks awesome. After 9 months started getting error messages that read " Clean Filters". They were clean. Then error message saying call Service Technician. Unplugged and then worked great for several weeks. Now won't heat at all and F7 error code. Now unit is out of warranty! Technician came out and said the Magnatron has failed. Stay Away! January 9, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Do not recommend We have owned this over the range microwave for eight months. It is a replacement for the first one that lasted only two months and quit working. When cooking on stovetop anything that creates steam and we turn microwave fan on it tells us to clean or replace filters. Charcoal filter has been replaced and grease filter is washed monthly. It almost seems like it has an oversensitive sensor. Does anyone have any suggestions? December 30, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by Worst Product Broke after 14 Months Looks like Whirlpool started making products that break after a year ( where your warranty expires). I have seen several microwaves working for years & years with out any issues. The issue with this is that the Interface board is broke which is suppling the power to Magnetron. I can not expect these kind of parts to break. The cost of this part is 260$ and if you add labor to it for another 100$ the thats the cost of this mircowave. My recomendation would be not to go for this product. April 27, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by MICROWAVE Used this microwave twice, and it stopped working, took out insurance which was against my better judgement(who would think you would need this for A new appliance, but good thing I did.The touch pad needs to be replaced, which had to be ordered, and then schedule a service tech.Had guests which was hoping to use the appliance but that wasnt possible. This should have been replaced with a new item but instead they have to come out 4 times for the same thing before they will give you a new one.As far as I am concerned, this thing IS JUNK March 26, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by F-7 MAG TUBE FAILURE VERY DISAPPOINTED BUT THANKFUL FOR THE EXTENDED WARRANTY. THE MICROWAVE STARTED GIVING ME A F-7 CODE AND WOULD ONLY RUN FOR 3 SECONDS. A REPAIR GUY CAME BY AND HE SAID MAG TUBE HAD SHORTED OUT AND BURNT THE WAVE GUIDE. THE EXTENDED WARRANTY WILL SEND ME A CHECK FOR 75% OF THE ORGINIAL COST. I AM THINKING ABOUT SWITICHING MY APPLIANCES TO GE. BY THE WAY, I'VE HAD THIS MICROWAVE FOR ABOUT A YEAR. do not buy this microwave, poor quality!!!!! March 1, 2012
